08.15.07 | Well, my school isn't anti-punk so much as it is just full of people who swear by the government for everything, and doubting the oh-so-flawless democracy is incredibly high treason, by their standards. And being any religion other than Christian doesn't fly too well in redneck territory. Naturally, punk songs just don't really come around a lot. Even amongst the rocker kids in the school, they're either metalheads or "emo."
Oh, and Astrel, a prepneck is basically a "redneck" who hangs out with preps and dresses like a prep. Think of a person who's got a nice house, has parents who can afford to get them designer clothes, but tries to pass off as a redneck by listening to rascal flats and wearing a git-er-done t-shirt once in a while. They do that just to look tough, but they're just trashy and shallow. Having all these labels for people is pretty bad. I feel guilty.... |
