Brain Dead
08.10.07 | I've never heard To Bid You Farewell, but nothing Opeth has ever written has struck me as emotional. Maybe lyrically, but musically their emotion (if they had any to begin with) gets muffled and obscured. I still love them though.
Watching Over Me is cool. Melancholy (Holy Martyr) is better though |

08.10.07 | Jeff Buckley - Forget Her |

08.10.07 | only know 6 here. good song. |
Otisbum
08.10.07 | Needs 'Ohio Is For Lovers'.
Anyway, nice list. I can't say I've heard any of these songs, but the bands themselves are great. |
BallsToTheWall
08.10.07 | 6 is good. I think Sleeping Sun and Walking in the air own that song though. |

08.11.07 | lol Otis... Nice choice in 4 and 8 |

08.11.07 | Nice list man. Quite a bit of symphonic stuff which is good to see.
Anathema - One Last Goodbye is one of the most purest forms of emotion i've heard in a song.
Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy
Dredg - The Canyon Behind Her
Pain Of Salvation - Used

Yazz_Flute
08.11.07 | good choices, 2,5,9,10 ftw.
I'd have "Hope for Us?" by Shadow Gallery on a list like this, beautiful song. |
chimera908
08.11.07 | 2 and 10 are amazing. But most emotional song ever for me (at the moment at least) is A Denoument by The Pax Cecilia, from Nouveau. I really can't get over how good it is... |
Hatshepsut
08.11.07 | yes, dredg is pretty much a necessity. The Canyon Behind Her is a good choice, so yeah that should be on it. |
Blurry
08.11.07 | Of all the In Flames songs, Evil in a Closet is your choice? Look further through their discography and prepare to be amazed. Otherwise there are some great selections here. Two suggestions for the listmaker -
Anathema - One Last Goodbye
Katatonia - Tonight's Music |
Altmer
08.11.07 | Yeah, Katatonia have some really emotional songs...just can't seem to find any to pick the list. |
Altmer
08.11.07 | I have all of IF's discography... |
Riziger
08.11.07 | nin - hurt..... thats so emotional. |
TheHamburgerman
08.11.07 | Dream Theater and Symphony X have never been, and will never be emotional.
Good call on Evil in a Closet though. |
chimera908
08.11.07 | 2 is really DTs only emotional song. Probably cus Moore wrote it and left all wankery out. |
clairvoyant
08.11.07 | people can talk about how emotionless DT is, but space dye vest is a very very emotional song |
Bfhurricane
08.11.07 | 2, 5, 7, 8 and 9 ftw.
chimera908 that's where youre wrong, Vacant by Dream Theater is also an incredibly emotional song. |
Ire
08.11.07 | opeth=good |
Toltec7Arrival
08.12.07 | 4 is an excellent tune |
Blurry
08.13.07 | Cool. Personally, there are many more emotionally charged tracks than EIAC for me in IF's disco. EIAC (and STYE as a whole) sounds too contrived to have any real emotional impact for me. |
