Carnival of Souls
"Immortality As Defense". Within the top two stand out tracks off Carnival of Souls. OSDM is done right with proper change up's and ride work. Effective stops are used giving a Carcass like feel. Odd riff patterns are thrown in to keep the listener interested. Superb tremolo's and alternate riffing work together in an almost progressive death metal style. Thrash drum riffs just right. And who knew the icing on the cake would be an effective breakdown done the right on near the end of the track. We're blessed to have to good music like this on lovely planet earth. Also check the whole cd, comparable to Bands such as Death and Carcass. | | 2 | | Exoto
