| 3 Lost And Forgotten Australian Punk Records
Three of the most incredible Aussie Punk records that no-one has
heard of. | 1 | | Bodyjar Plastic Skies
Iconic Australian punkers and Melbourne's favourite, sadly their follow-up proved to be their demise. | 2 | | Skulker Too Fat For Tahiti
A once very popular Sydney all-girl rock/punk band. Consider yourself lucky if you have this. | 3 | | Avalon Drive Unknown
A healthy mix-blend of punk/rock and emo. Extremly hard to find, super rare. Album title not even known | |

08.08.07 | I used to really like Bodyjar | samthebassman
08.08.07 | To be honest Im glad all these albums, and bands, have been forgotten about. | 204409
08.08.07 | We all know Bodyjar. THPS man! | Blurry
08.15.07 | Maybe they're not known outside of Australia, but here, Bodyjar are quite well known and they're still kicking around, they're just not on a major anymore.
Skulker... well I wouldn't really call them punk unless you think of Veruca Salt as punk. They're not too bad. Coincidentally, I found my old copy of 'Too Fat...' the other day and gave it a spin. Good times. It's a shame they imploded because they had some potential.
Avalon Drive are a young band that current have a bit of buzz, they're probably going to get pretty big (at least in Australian terms) soonish, but I wouldn't really call them punk either. By the way, that disc you have is a self-titled effort. |
