Urinetrouble
12.27.11 | some from this year |
Crymsonblaze
12.27.11 | SUPER is easily the best. I liked The Muppets, Real Steal, Scr4m, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes as well. I even enjoyed some others like Transformers 3 and Green Lantern. The only 2011 movie I really hated this year was 30 Minutes or Less. Awful AWFUL film. |
Recspecs
12.27.11 | From this year? Hmmm I didn't watch many films this year to be honest.
Fast Five was better then I thought it would be. I really enjoyed Horrible Bosses. Tower Heist wasn't half bad....don't remember seeing anything else I enjoyed. Alot of shitty movies this year. |
Recspecs
12.27.11 | Rise of the Planet of the Apes wasn't half bad. |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a huge surprise for me. Caesar is a boss. |
theashesfromautumn01
12.27.11 | Ive only seen the new planet of the apes movies (decent) horrible bosses (not hilariously funny but worth watching) and 30 minutes or less (has its moments but overall a disappointment and a waste of time and money) |
Urinetrouble
12.27.11 | sup guys just got back from making a toasted turkey sandwich scayp |
Urinetrouble
12.27.11 | rotpota was a decent film, especially the last 30 minutes |
AngelofDeath
12.27.11 | Tree of Life was painful to watch. |
Ire
12.27.11 | tin tin looked kinda gay and i also don't trust steven spielberg anymore
Super was fucking awesome and would prob take my number 1. |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | Ire: Watching it later on tonight, pretty excited. |
Ire
12.27.11 | also cowboys and aliens was super underrated and if you don't think so watch your opinion become invalid

ohfoxxxycole
12.27.11 | crazy stupid love
no im serious |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | The Hangover Part II was a letdown imo. |
Eko
12.27.11 | yeah needs Planet of the Apes. havent seen a lot of these but what I have seen ruled |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | Eko: Totally worth the watch. |
Trebor.
12.27.11 | Midnight In Paris |
Trebor.
12.27.11 | Tintin ruled gtfo |
Satellite
12.27.11 | the girl with the dragon tattoo

Emim
12.27.11 | drive was pretty bad |
Hikikomori
12.27.11 | typical hollywood tripe save for 7 and 11 |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | Hobo With A Shotgun was such a gutsy movie, I loved it. |
Recspecs
12.27.11 | Hangover 2 tried too hard to be memorable like the first film by making up for lack of humor with shock value scenes. |
Auschwitz
12.27.11 | super 8 and attack the block were both disappointing. they were decent movies but i thought theyd be a lot better considering the reviews they were getting. |
kris.
12.27.11 | 50/50 honestly had me sobbing like a little girl by the end
also the muppets was the greatest thing EVER |
TheNewWhack
12.27.11 | 3 was the shit. |
Auschwitz
12.27.11 | 50/50 was fucking great. |
Auschwitz
12.27.11 | i saw the beginning of hobo with a shotgun, looks awesome. |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | The beginning is nothing compared to the middle and final acts, they push it to so many extremes. |
theacademy
12.27.11 | it was a nice story but it probably won't end up in my top 10
basically so far top 5's looking like
1. Attack the Block
2. Drive Angry 3D
3. Martha Marcy May Marlene
4. Source Code
5. Young Adult
6. Scream 4
hmmm |
peaks40
12.27.11 | has a couple of my favs midnight in paris, drive, the tree of life, moneyball |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | A Day in the Life was one of the best documentaries I've seen all year, but of course I only saw about three total. |
Ignimbrite
12.27.11 | I may be in the vast minority here but I got very little enjoyment from watching Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I mean, sure, it was an inteligent film and all but I would much rather watch Tom Cruise run down the Burj Khalifa if I'm ever in the mood for a 2011 spy movie. |
Dreamflight
12.27.11 | "4. Source Code"
Yeah, finally someone mentions this. My favourite this year so far.
|
KILL
12.27.11 | i wana see melancholia |
Dreamflight
12.27.11 | I'd say the ending is more awkward than dumb, but I can understand your point. |
ninjuice
12.27.11 | Source Code was amazing. Probably the best movie this year.
Attack the Block was.....meh. Hardly funny, and it's been done, just not in the same setting.
I for one hoped Sucker Punch would have a strong plot and such. Snyder needs to just make something akin to Shoot 'Em Up already.
Saw The Help last night - near perfect. It didn't really have a climax or real tension towards the end, though.
Great:
Captain America
X-Men: First Class
Mission Impossible
Super 8
Fast Five
Meh:
Hanna
Pirates oTC
Rango
Paul
Thor (why so many Dutch angles? WHY?)
30 Minutes or Less
Unknown
Guilty pleasure:
Green Lantern |
WeepingBanana
12.27.11 | Drive was so good... didn't see many movies this year though |
scissorlocked
12.27.11 | tree of life was tremendously beautiful
easily the best movie i've seen this year |
KILL
12.27.11 | wana see tree of life too yea |
Dreamflight
12.27.11 | @scissors
I haven't seen Tree of life yet, but from what I've heard people either love or hate it, at the point
of leaving the theater in the middle of the movie. |
Dreamflight
12.27.11 | ahahaha I suppose so.
No explosions on the tree of life huh? :D |
AngelofDeath
12.27.11 | It's well-shot and the acting is pretty good, but there's no real story or point to the movie. If there is, it totally went over my head. The character interaction and dialogue aren't nearly interesting enough to make the movie memorable or even enjoyable. |
Cipieron
12.27.11 | Hesher |
VlacDrac
12.27.11 | Needs more Johnny English |
CrackTheSkye
12.27.11 | Hesher and 50/50 are both great. |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | Just finished watching Super 8 for the first time, and I'm absolutely loving it. |
foxblood
12.27.11 | Midnight in Paris was great. but i ended up liking Girl With the Dragon Tattoo more than anything else i saw this year |
Cipieron
12.27.11 | i thought Super 8 was really disappointing. at least i had enough lens flares to count and keep me busy during the movie |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | I'm a huge Abrams fan, his films have a great visual quality and are most of the time pretty top notch in story. The train crash was superb, the monster looked terrific and I even teared up a tad bit during the scene where they watch the footage of the boys mother. I just felt like it was a well made and entertaining movie. |
Cipieron
12.27.11 | the train crash looked... like cgi... and i know it's a movie but of the several people right there, you're telling me no one was even scratched with all that carnage going on? even the guy who got hit in the truck didn't die.
stupid |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | Yeah I thought the same thing, especially the guy in the truck not dying. Just a bit far fetched haha. |
Cipieron
12.27.11 | plus i just hate kids in movies anyway... watch the movie again and tell me the main kid is acting, all he does it make the same face and look around |
Cipieron
12.27.11 | jurassic park was ruined for me because of those fucking kids too |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | To this day I still can't stand that little girl in Jurassic Park. |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | Oh yeah I remember that part. The one good moment in the second was when they were capturing all those dinosaurs in the field, and the guy got hit through one door of his car and came out the other on the opposite end. |
Crymsonblaze
12.27.11 | But the third one is the worst because it doesn't have any memorable moments like those |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | ^ so true.
The Spinosaurus (however you spell it) was a nice addition I might add. |
IAmKickass
12.27.11 | Lmfao, I think they just had an issue with continuity there, from what I've seen the cliff is on the opposite side of the fence he came out of. I forget where I read that, but that's just what someone said. |
Evreaia
12.27.11 | No rise of the planet of the apes? C'MON! |
sifFlammable
12.27.11 | is hugo actually good
i just dont watch kids-flicks usually but scorsese... |
