Ignimbrite 12.21.11	It wasn't as epic as it could have been, but I still think this will be a completely fucking amazing movie. 1. The trailer may have been light on plot, but I'mpretty sure that was intentional 2. I know that people are bitching about Anne Hathaway as catwoman, but remember when it was released that Ledger would be playing the Joker? Some people went apeshit, and we all know how that turned out. 3. Bane's voice really isn't all that unintelligible in the trailer (although it was at some parts of the prologue), and I really think that Nolan's minor sound mixing tweaks will easily make it understandable enough.

Ignimbrite 12.21.11	So I know that Bruce Wayne is supposed to have his back broken by Bane, but I've heard some speculation that it will happen soon after the events of TDK and that Nolan's whole 8 years later setting will be when Wayne is forced to recuperate or something. How true might this be?

geng 12.21.11	There might be a love interest there with Wayne, but I think the trailer and the stills of her in the suit make it pretty clear she'll have an active part in the storyline with Bane as well.

patrickfannon 12.21.11	The football stadium shot looked so fucking lame. It reminded me of "The Sum of All Fears" with Morgan Freeman and Ben Affleck. The rest of the trailer looked incredible, but I still have my doubts about this film's ability to top "The Dark Knight." I think it is literally impossible to replace or top Ledger's performance as The Joker. Imagine what this would be like if The Joker was still in the mix...
patrickfannon 12.21.11	Also, what the fuck was with Selina Kyle going all Occupy Wall Street on Bruce Wayne while they were dancing? I really hope Nolan did not include any political allegories in this film. That would be terrible.

I have no doubt this will rule, maybe even rule more than Dark Knight. We'll see. Val Kilmer was the best batman because he used to be the hottest man alive. (2,3,4,5,6)
patrickfannon 12.21.11	Perhaps, Balls, but I get the unshakable feeling from the trailer that "The Dark Knight Rises" is starting to push the limits of keeping the series grounded in the realm of possibility. I understand we are talking about Batman, and that his story is highly unlikey, but most of what we've seen thus far (barring Two-Face) has been at least theoretically feasible. Also, fuck Hines Ward and fuck the Steelers. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES! Go Birds.
BallsToTheWall 12.21.11	The one part I didn't like was all the free prisoners hoisting guns, that was cheesy as fuck.
patrickfannon 12.21.11	The kid singing the national anthem in the beginning was pretty awful, too. The prisoners fist pumping, hoisting guns, and chanting something unintelligible--which, apparently, means "rise"--is bad, especially considering that scene follows Selena Kyle ranting about the woes of being a part of the 99%. Again, I hope Nolan is smarter than what that scene seems to imply.

Also, what are you basing that assumption upon? Who would play Mr. Freeze and how could they keep it an absolute secret, as they must have if that is really the case?
