circle takes the square, who then combined the best elements of these bands (the chaos of pg. 99, the
post-rock influence of CoC, the melodic chord progressions of orchid) and expanded on them with more
experimental/abstract songwriting to create a sound that payed respect to the bands that paved their
way while also pushing the boundaries of what screamo could be. |
