| My Top 15 Favorite Albums
Over half a year on this site, and I have found some great music. Here is what is in my opinion, the best. (Only 1 album per band) | | 15 | | Glassjaw Worship and Tribute
I wonder if they will ever have a third album...cause this just leaves me wanting more. This is a post-hardcore masterpiece that I can listen to all the time. | | 14 | | Disturbed Believe
I become less and less of a Disturbed fan each day. But this album is perfect. It's darker then everything they have done (haha Darkness) and it has "Remember" which is their crowning achievement. | | 13 | | Metallica Master Of Puppets
I had to include this. I just had to. This was my initiation to metal. As much as I still think Death Magnetic is my favorite because it has most of their best songs, that album has some missteps. This is classic thrash and surprisingly my favorite song on the album is "The Thing That Should Not Be" which is the song most people think isn't as good. This album has everything a complete metal album needs and I wouldn't have it any other way. | | 12 | | Radiohead OK Computer
If there is one thing I learned from this site, than it's that Radiohead is life. It took me a while to get them too. Right now this is my favorite, but The Bends and Kid A come close. Obviously a classic by most standards. It's really that great. | | 11 | | Rise Against Siren Song of The Counter Culture
This is the first band that really introduced me to punk. I loved how the sheer aggression worked so well for their songs. This album pretty much defines that, and I love it because of that. | | 10 | | Soundgarden Superunknown
This album is complete. I remember when I played "Black Hole Sun" on Rock band for like...ever. Now my favorite songs by them are the epic closer, "Like Suicide" and the catchy "Superunkown". | | 9 | | Foo Fighters The Colour and The Shape
Wasting Light may actually beat this... But for the time being, this is superior. All of their best songs in one place and overall, this is just a fun listen. Plus "Wind Up" is the only song that I HAVE to listen to 3 times in a row if it's on shuffle. | | 8 | | Protest The Hero Kezia
All Protest The Hero albums are perfect for me. But this album just takes the cake. I find it to be the darkest release, and slightly better to listen to as a whole. Vocally, I don't think there is anything better in metal these days... | | 7 | | Iron Maiden A Matter of Life and Death
You would think this would be higher, right? Well so did I, but I realized that for Maiden, instead of full albums (besides Powerslave and TNOTB) I normally just listen to certain songs rather than the whole thing. So why isn't one of those albums here on the list? Cause AMOLAD has the best songs. Truth be told, it doesn't really flow as well as the other two, but "The Legacy" is my favorite Maiden song, and "For The Greater Good of God" as well as "The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg" are right behind it. Every song on this album is quite fantastic but for some reason, I'd rather just listen to it on shuffle than in order. | | 6 | | Blaqk Audio Cexcells
I'm not an electronica fan at all. But I am a Davey Havok fan and that is why I love this album. To me, it's my electronic Sing The Sorrow. It has some fun stuff, but things like "Mute" and "Wake Up, Open The Door, and Escape To The Sea" are downright emotional. I can only hope for their next release to be better, and from what I have heard, I wouldn't be surprised if it is. | | 5 | | Avenged Sevenfold Nightmare
Yay more hate! Anyway, I never loved Avenged Sevenfold to begin with. When I first started really getting into music, I focused on 4 bands more than any of the others. Three were AFI, Iron Maiden, and My Chemical Romance. The other was A7X. It wasn't because I loved them, it was because my friends did, so I started listening to them just for the heck of it (I never made this mistake again since now all they like is scene crap). It just so happen that "Nightmare" was coming out, so I got it. Within 1 listen, I got it all (well most). Everything that album had to offer was outstanding. Still I will admit it took a while for me to truly get "Save Me" which is without a doubt the best song they have produced. | | 4 | | Brand New The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
Did you expect this to not be here? First time I listened to it, I found the vocals amusing. So I downloaded it, but kind of ignored the album besides "Sowing Season". Once I discovered that "Limousine" was mind-blowing, I tried this album again. From then on, it got better and better with every listen. It's emotional and unpredictable. I love it! | | 3 | | My Chemical Romance I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought...
Still my guilty pleasure, and I'm proud of it. In a sense, I tie this with Three Cheers, but I prefer this because of it's originality. Hell, I know people that hate MCR to death but happen to enjoy "Our Lady Of Sorrows". This album actually shows that this band was hardcore to an extent. It still has it's poppy moments, though and I happen to love them too. This will always be one of my favorites. | | 2 | | La Dispute Somewhere At The Bottom of The River...
I find it really hard to believe that I didn't like this band during my first couple of listens. Now, "The Last Lost Continent" is my favorite song. It's complex, it's hardcore, it's loving, it's La Difuckingspute. | | 1 | | AFI Sing The Sorrow
I'd love to find a better album than this one, but the only band for me that I think could do that is AFI themselves. This album is my everything. Every single song is not only dark and ambient, but the lyrics are as well. I still have a hard time grasping the point of every song. The only thing that comes close to beating this is "Somewhere..." | |

11.19.11 | There's something about it that I just love. "Suicide and Redemption" is my favorite instrumental, "My Apocalypse" is possibly my favorite song by them besides "Fade To Black". Also "The Unforgiven III" is probably my favorite vocal from Hetfield. Other than that, I just love every song on it. It's the only thing new by them I really listen to. | DarkNoctus
