MisterSteel
11.12.11 | ^ Yeah, helps a lot so you know what to re-download, otherwise, I know at least I would forget a ton of shit that I had beforehand.
Get Ice Dragon's The Burl, The Earth, The Aether. Free off their bandcamp page.

dnor
11.12.11 | Yeah, it actually helps me remember which albums I didn't like as to not clutter my new hard drive with them. . |
omnipanzer
11.12.11 | I have a bad problem with data hording myself... can't bring myself to get rid of albums even if I don't like them. |
Scoot
11.12.11 | happened to me too, i've almost caught up to where i was though |
dnor

my music. |
Vesper
11.12.11 | That's the most bizarrely haphazard way to lose your music collection I've heard yet, haha.
But sucks, man. :/
(We have very little in common, music taste-wise, but if you want any dm, bm, gothic rock, industrial... let me know, haha.) |
dnor
11.12.11 | eh, dm is really the only kind we have in common. And yeah, in the idea of "haphazard" I have constantly been referring to the incident as if it was "out of a bad comedy movie". |
raggedragamuffin
11.12.11 | sucks. i lost half my 60 GBs of music a couple months ago when my hard drive failed. don't know, the music just disappeared halfway through the alphabet. so i feel you. happy downloading. |
deathofasalesman
11.12.11 | Get a pair of harddrives pronto. I still needa get my hands on a second one so I don't lose everything entirely. |
Vesper
11.12.11 | My boyfriend has told me music is more important to him than I am, so I'm not sure what would happen if I erased all his music... or worse, any part of his physical collection, haha. |
americanohno
11.12.11 | jandek, "blue corpse"

dnor
11.12.11 | @ Vesper - Yeah, thank god my CD's were untouched :p
@Americanohno - Yeah....only stuff I had off iTunes were movies I had bought when people gave me gift cards for presents. And seems that I lost all of those |
dnor
11.12.11 | damn someguest.....I don't post for weeks, and when I finally do after a tragic incident, you come back with a low-blow...I guess I can't expect much else from you. |

taylormemer
11.12.11 | See, I just have little sympathy. If you didn't backup your music, then you're only to blame. Why do people instil their trust in technology like it's destined to never fail, or in your case, destined to not be destroyed by the elements and other forms of life, or some other combination. Minimum two backups at all times.
Sorry dude. m/ |
Irving
11.12.11 | ^ Ouch! Way to turn on the victim blaming volume button taylormemer! XD

Gyromania
11.12.11 | Agreed with Jake - I have two external hard drives and I save all of my files twice, just in case one
of 'em gets destroyed. Downloading music is time-consuming and if you're in Canada chances are you
probably have a GB cap, meaning that downloads have to be of things you actually love/anticipate. It's
worth investing in multiple external hard drives to prevent the loss of countless hours spent
obtaining these things. |
dnor
11.13.11 | Well I mean....I thought an external hard drive was good enough (save me from any computer viruses or crashes). Sorry I don't think random fires could happen :/ lol and I'm gonna check out all these new albums. Thanks guys. |
snerefedsav
11.13.11 | noooooooo my condolences, man. i would definitely cry if my external with all my music broke |
