burton.and.gas 07.02.07	you mastered several i can hardly do. im only really good at 6 and 7 and ok at the rest.

ThePrimer 07.02.07	How come you don't know alternate picking? It's like the first technique you need to know.... Well, my weakness is Sweep picking... I pretty much can handle the rest
astrel 07.02.07	Almost every guitarist I know bitches about how hard sweep picking is. Being a drummer I can't do any of these though.
ThePrimer 07.02.07	Oh, and I suck a little at Pinch Harmonics hehe I can play them but most of the time when I'm playing, I need to play the note twice to get the pinch... :/ xD
ThePrimer 07.02.07	Can you tell us you equipment? lol :] I use a Schecter Omen 6 a Zoom 606 pedal and a crappy Crate amp.. I'm saving up for a Line 6 :D

Epilogue 07.02.07	I can speed pick and alternative pick, but sweep...jeez...and hammer ons/offs are pretty much the most simplest thing to do on a guitar. Good list, interesting.
any14doomsday 07.02.07	Id jam with you man, I can do all of these fairly well, except sweeping. I don't really need that though, as its a technique i have never had the desire to use when writing a song
Doppelganger 07.02.07	By speed picking do you mean tremelo picking? That technique isn't very hard at all. I don't take lessons and I barely practice at all, yet I can say I'm worth a damn at guitar.
Mastodon_2007 07.02.07	speed picking and tremelo picking are totally different, tremelo picking is used for a few notes picked really fast, for example the part in eruption, and speed picking accurately and cleanly is used by the really advanced players...like speed picking scales, pretty fucking hard. My gear is gibson Faded V, silvertone sg, and a spider 2 amp.

Mastodon_2007 07.02.07	oh u already told me, fucking awesome I always wanted thats schecter omen but i cant find it at my local guitar center, and the line 6 is fucking sweet, it gives u more than enough distortion, and the effects are pretty sweet too, its just missing wah, but its still bitchin'.
MyRamona 08.17.07	It's economy picking thats owning me, it's not that I can't do it, it's that i'll start picking then halfway through just sub-conciously start alternate picking.
