Radio Isn't Complete Shit.

...well at least about 20% of mainstream music isn't. My Top 10 reasons to turn on the radio. If for only a moment.
10Red

Red is the Christian Rise Against. They produce albums that meet critical acclaim with each output, they choose the same message, and each album sounds about the same. That's not a bad thing. They know how to make a certain type of music and they do it damn well.
9Mayday Parade

Every teenage girls favorite band. Normally that is a knock towards a band, but not in this case. Mayday Parade is a pop punk band that is very good, musically as well as mainstream.
8The Dangerous Summer

The Dangerous Summer is a band on the rise and possibly the best new pop punk/Alt Rock band in the U.S. right now. I know this is probably the least mainstream band on this list, but the music they produce is very radio friendly.
7Rise Against

Rise Against is on the same lonely path that RHCP is on. They're message is getting repetitive to the extreme, yet they still manage to create music that is listenable to say the least.
6Eminem

Eminem is a tough case. His releases of recent have been utter shit. His days of The Marshall Mathers LP and The Slim Shady LP are long gone. Why is he on this list? He wasn't going to be, but his recent release under the name of "Bad Meets Evil" is the best thing to have his name stamped on a cover in a long time.
5Red Hot Chili Peppers

Yes, RHCP is very much on the road of decline, but that decline is still a hell of a lot better than most bands on the radio right now.
4Underoath

An ever changing band, Underoath burst into the mainstream with album "They're Only Chasing Safety" and though they have dropped off from mainstream in recent years, they gotten progressively better.
3Deftones

Deftones continue to put out albums that are successful mainstream and very successful to critics; something rarely seen.
2Sublime

The "Pioneers of reggae/punk". Though they are not the same band as they were in the 90's, Sublime is still very much alive thanks to the recent addition of front man Rome.
1Kanye West

Kanye West my have created the best mainstream album seen in the past decade. That is reason enough to have him as my number one.
