| Sam Adams Octoberfest
...is magically delicious. Dangerously so, some might say. Anyways, here are the albums that have my attention in October. Let me know what I'm missing. | | 1 | | East of the Wall The Apologist
Not the hugest fan of Ressentiment, but it's grown on me. Hopefully this is more Farmer's Almanac-y, though. | | 2 | | Russian Circles Empros
One of the most consistent post-rock/metal outfits on the market. | | 3 | | Giant Squid Cenotes
Fish metal. | | 4 | | Mutemath Odd Soul
Apparently, this is pretty bluesy. Interesting. | | 5 | | 3 The Ghost You Gave to Me
About time, gang. | | 6 | | La Dispute Wildlife
Seeing these guys with Thrice later this month. Pretty excited about that. | | 7 | | Puscifer Conditions of My Parole
Although their first album was incredibly inconsistent, their EP really got my hopes up for what this band is capable of. Hopefully this doesn't wreck that, but who knows? | | 8 | | Drake Take Care
Mainly excited by the fact that The Weeknd is involved with this album. | | 9 | | William Shatner Seeking Major Tom
This has all the ingredients for success: The Shats, spacemen, David Bowie...there you go. | | 10 | | Cymbals Eat Guitars Lenses Alien
Thought this was supposed to come out last month, but apparently not. Ah well, I'm sure these guys are worth the wait. | | 11 | | Peter Gabriel New Blood
Although some people really, *really* couldn't get behind Scratch My Back, I actually really enjoyed the minimalist sound he took on that album (for as much as an orchestra can be called minimalist, but that's an issue for another time). And I'm definitely interested to hear how it plays out with his own material. | | 12 | | Ben Folds Best Imitation of Myself: A Retrospective
Mainly interested in the new/unreleased material. Ben Folds Five back in action. | | 13 | | I Am the Avalanche Avalanche United
Did you know this band still existed? I know I certainly didn't. | | 14 | | Iced Earth Dystopia
I'm about 88% sure this will be horrific. But hey, at least they aren't singing about Egyptian demons enslaving America, or whatever they've wasted their past several albums (and everyone's time) on. | | 15 | | Lights Siberia
Just look at her. | |
Electric City
