12Trivium
The Crusade

Yeah I know what you thinking "what the F*** is Trivium doing on a Thrash
Metal list?" Although their Metalcore with some hints of Thrash in their
Music, this one is all Thrash. Most people don't like this album because
(they think) they copied their idols like Metallica, Megadeth, Testament ect.
And weren't original. Although this album sounds almost like a tribute album
to those bands it still contains those hooks and melodies Trivium is known
for. I can't help but head band along to this, its my favorite of theirs ("Shogun"
and "In Waves" are great too) Best songs are "Entrance Of The
Conflagration", "Becoming The Dragon", "Tread The Floods", "To The Rats"
and "Contempt Breeds Contamination". (**I'm just thinking out the "box"
on this one**)
Released 2006, My Rating: Superb - 4.5 (*For Trivium Album*)
11Sodom
In War and Pieces

I just found out about these guys(early2011), And this album definitely deserves to be
on my list. Although I'm not familiar with their entire body of work this
album is liked by most, and for a good reason! Killer riffs with a lot of
brutality but there is still some melody the songs, very nice! Love Tom
Angelripper vocals very gritty and aggressive (kind of reminds me of the
vocals in Carcass Heartwork good album too) Best tracks are "In War And
Pieces", "Hellfire", "The Art of Killing Poetry" and "Through Toxic Veins".
Released 2010, My Rating: Excellent - 4
10Kreator
Hordes of Chaos

Slayer just German, but seriously this album slays all the way through (no
pun Intended) every track is aggressive and brutal! Great vocal work too
(for the music) it was tough choosing between this or "Enemy of God" their
both very similar but I just connected more to this one. Best tracks are
"Hordes of Chaos (A Necrologue for the Elite)", "Warcurse" and "Demon
Prince".
Released 2009, My Rating: Excellent - 4
9Overkill
Ironbound

I mostly like only new Overkill Probably cause I prefer Bobby "Blitz"
voice now that his older. This is the record that really made me love them
(this and Immortalis). Love the Speed, the aggression and the lyrics are
catchy too. Best songs are "Ironbound", "The Green and Black" and "The
Head and Heart".
Released 2010, My Rating: Excellent - 4
8Anthrax
Worship Music

This one is just awesome! With Joey Belladonna back at the helm their stronger than ever! Amazingly fun to
listen to, and has a good sense of humor just like Anthrax always had. Best
tracks are "The Devil You Know", "Fight 'em till you Can't". "Earth On Hell"
and "Judas Priest". Anthrax is still Spreading the Disease.
Released 2011, My Rating: Excellent - 4
7Exodus
Exhibit B: The Human Condition

If you try to head band to this record all the way through your head will
just fly off!!! Its so Amazingly fast and but still keeping it technical. Like its
twin (essentially) "The Atrocity Exhibition - Exhibit A" this is an awesome
Thrash record from one of its pioneers. Best tracks are "Hammer and Life",
"Burn Hollywood Burn", "Class Dismissed (A Hate Primer)" and "Beyond the
Pale".
Released 2010, My Rating: Excellent - 4
6Death Angel
Relentless Retribution

Although rather unknown here in America (Cause their from the Philippines)
they should! Especially cause of this record, I absolutely love it! Very Aggressive
with has great hooks while keeping the riffs fast. Best songs are "Into The
Arms Of Righteous Anger", "Truce", "This Hate", "I Choose the Sky" and
"River of Rapture". Just love the melodies and catchiness of the lyrics in this
album, sounds very unique.
Released 2010, My Rating: Excellent - 4
5Slayer
World Painted Blood

Slayer the most fearsome, brutal and aggressive of the "Big 4", they
consistently made fast brutal "balls to the wall" music which is good but
also bad cause they got pretty boring in the late 90's and early 00's, but
came back strong with "Christ Illusion" and although it was amazing I think
this one is a little better. Super fast and amazingly dark, sounds just as
aggressive as "Seasons In The Abyss" or "Divine Intervention". Best tracks
are "World Painted Blood", "Snuff", "Hate World Wide" and "The Human
Strain".
Released 2009, My Rating: Excellent - 4
4Machine Head
The Blackening

Although their not "Old School" Thrash their probably one of the best new
Thrash (Post Thrash) bands out there now. Although "Through the Ashes of
the Empire" was amazing this leaves it in the dust! Amazingly technical and
aggressive, but beautiful at the same time. Best songs are "Clenching The
Fist of Dissent", "Aesthetics of Hate" (a tribute to Dimebag Darrell), "Halo",
and "A Farewell to Arms". Not to mention the great covers on the Special
Edition like Metallica's "Battery", Iron Maiden's "Hallowed Be Thy Name" and
Black Sabbath's "Hole In The Sky". Must have for a Metal fan, the new
single "Locust" is amazing as well check it out.
Released 2007, My Rating: Excellent - 4
3Megadeth
Endgame

After the Legendary "Rust In Piece" many fans (including myself) wanted to
hear another album along the same vein. Although "The System Has Failed"
and "United Abominations" were great this completely blew them out the
water! Amazingly technical and fast like "Rust In Piece" but still having the
melodies and hooks of "Countdown To Extinction" Just listen to those solos
and air guitar along (so much fun).
Best songs are "Endgame", "44 Minutes", "Dialectic Chaos... This Day We
Fight", "Head Crusher" and "Bodies". Hope "Th1rt3en" will be as good.
Released 2009, My Rating: Superb - 4.5
2Testament
The Formation Of Damnation

My first Introduction to Testament and since than I absolutely Love this
Band! Amazing Introduction to the band and it never disappoints (except for the title track i don't care for,
still good song on it's own merits). Sounds like a mix of "Practice What You Preach" and "The Gathering"
great combo if you ask me. Best tracks are "F.E.A.R", "For The Glory Of... More Than Meets The Eye",
"Killing Season", "The Evil Has Landed" and "Afterlife". Can't wait for the new one "The Dark Roots of
Earth". Amazing band amazing album!
Released 2008, My Rating: Superb - 4.5
1Metallica
Death Magnetic

The Album that introduced me (Fully) to Metallica, and Metal! Very Old
School Sounding Metallica Album, sound like a mix between "...And Justice
For All", "The Black Album" and even a little bit of "St. Anger"?!? I Love Old
School Metallica, Love this Record! Best Songs are "That Was Just Your
Life", "All Nightmare Long", "My Apocalypse", "The Day That Never Comes",
"The Judas Kiss" and "Suicide & Redemption" their first instrumental in 20 years. One of their best,
consistent all the way through!
Released 2008, My Rating: Superb - 4.5
