09.22.11 | VICTIM OF CHANGES

09.22.11 | Well, Unleashed in the East. I find that to be one overrated 'classic' live album, way too much tinkering with the sound. Besides, Sad Wings is an actual Priest album without filler, what about TYRANT for example? |
Jethro42
09.22.11 | Where should I start with these dinausors? |
Nagrarok
09.22.11 | For 70's Sad Wings and Stained Class, for 80's British Steel and Screaming for Vengeance. |
TheNotrap
09.22.11 | Tyrant is great. Also Genocide.
on my top 50

TheNotrap
09.22.11 | "Where should I start with these dinausors?"
Hahaha start by saying this is one of the best heavy metal bands ever
m/ |
Jethro42
09.22.11 | thanks guys!! Also there's your Judas Priest's discog I might consult, super Nag. |
Nagrarok
09.22.11 | Hehe, when I look back on those it's good to realize my writing has become a lot better. |
Jethro42
09.22.11 | Ah really? Well let me bring my own feeling about it, Nag ... |
TheNotrap
09.22.11 | I believe their debut, Stained Class and Sin After Sin are more "Jethro".
When you start your Dio dig...try British Steel, Screaming for Vengeance and Defenders of the Faith.
If you wake up on a more extreme mood...don't miss the brilliant Painkiller |

Nagrarok
09.22.11 | 'Ah really? Well let me bring my own judgement on it, Nag ...'
They're among my first batch of reviews, most of them are more than 2 years old now, they are allowed to be a lot worse by comparison.
'believe their debut, Stained Class and Sin After Sin are more "Jethro".'
Rocka Rolla is just decent, no way in hell I'd pick it over Sad Wings. Sin After Sin has some classics but also some filler. |
TheNotrap
09.22.11 | JUDAS FUCKINNG RULEEESS

Jethro42
09.22.11 | Thanks a bunch Notrap for the judicious recs you just gave to me! Cheers! |
TheNotrap
09.22.11 | When I said their debut I thought on Sad Wings of Destiny...I completely forgot about Rocka Rolla.... |
jayfatha
09.22.11 | 23 is my fucking jam |
Nagrarok
09.22.11 | It is often forgotten, for a reason. |
TheNotrap
09.22.11 | In my opinion Priest really begins with Sad Wings of Destiny....Rocka Rolla was a bad debut heavy/psychedelic experience |
Nagrarok
09.22.11 | ^which is said reason. |
Trebor.
09.22.11 | Maiden |

Gotcha, Nag. By which one of yours should I start? Sad Wings?
|
Nagrarok
09.22.11 | Yeah I would. |
Jethro42
09.22.11 | Nag, btw I'm telling you in advance; I'm even not worried about the quality of your discog. It's not given to everybody to get involved in some discogs like you fluently do. Also you have an undeniable natural talent to writing. You're one of the best as you know it....Take it! |

Jethro42
09.22.11 | @Notrap, please do agree with Nag whom is my dear colleague in ProgJect. |
TheNotrap
09.22.11 | Haha
Well if he's your friend must be a boss ;-)
But trust me, I really know and like Priest enough to say Painkiller, Stained Class and Defenders of the Faith don't have fillers ;-) |
Jethro42
09.22.11 | ProgJect is the boss.

04.24.12 | Ram It Down has four killer songs "Ram It Down" best guitar duel ever, "Hard As Iron" , "Blood Red Skies" and "I'm a Rocker". "Heavy Metal" is not bad at all. This record deserves the recognition that other great Priest albums have. |
TheNotrap
04.25.12 | Agreed.
Ram it Down, Hard As Iron, I'm a Rocker and Blood Red Skies rule damn hard.
Ram it Down solos are unbelievable. On my top 5 all time favourite leads.

01.23.14 | List needs more SWoD at the least. To be fair, this list is
old and Notrap knows his Priest quite well.
Personally, I wouldn't have put 26, 31, 32 and 34 on
here, but that's just me.
Also, props for giving SAS some love, it's pretty
underrated. |
