But since guns were easily accessible to them and gave them a much bigger amount of power they were able to do what they did. Plus as mentionned earlier a situation can easily escalate to much bigger heights when guns are involved than when they aren't. When you give a society the means to kill more easily it's bound to happen more often than when you don't, it's really as simple as that.
Personnally I'm fine with not having a gun to defend myself considering i'm also 90% sure the other guy won't have one to pull on me too. I'm fine with hunting weapons as they have a use other than to be used on humans and weren't designed to be very useful as a mass killing weapon. And i think if it came to the point where we needed guns to fight against our own government we could probably find ways of obtaining them if the time ever came |

Agreed but I'm going to put that on the people who sold or made available guns to minors. Those guns should not have been made readily accessible to which ever kids you are talking about. This would lead to stricter gun control which I agree with. The strictest of gun control laws that allow private citizens to own weapons would not affect me or most Americans. I like most of Americans am not a criminal. I'm not sure how this proves your point. The entire discussion is based on the average persons owning guns and whether we should be able to or not. |

There is know way to know that. They wanted to make people pay and simply armed themselves as best possible to achieve that goal. If they had to limit who they were going to attack there is no way to know that they would not have taken that option (knives). |
