Sputnik Rating Math

This is for people with 3000+ ratings. Let's work with some raverages here. The average album is between 40-50 minutes. So rlet's decide on 45 minutes for an average play-through of an ralbum. So we would effectively multiply 3000 by 0.75 to get a 2250 rhours worth of listening to music. To divide that into days we will rtake out the average sleeping time of 8 hours, so that would rleave 16 hours to listen to music while you're awake. Divide 2250 rby 16 to ge140 days of straight music. Close to a year of rconstant music in your awakened life. Now, that is only one play-rthrough of every album out of the 3000. After this fact there are a rbunch of variables which come into place. You may hate/love an ralbum on first listen and immediately have a decision on a rating. rSome albums may take 5-10 listens for you to decide. Lets just rsay you gave every album with a rating over three, five listens. rYou would probably also listen to your 4.5's/5's more than 10 rtimes, since they're that good, right? With all the variables that rare possible in life, surely life cuts out some of your music time as rwell. You can't honestly say you listen to music 16 hours a day, revery day. With all the variables in place they would definitely rextend the 250 days to an indefinite amount, but the minimum rwould surely be at least 10 years to digest such a catalogue of rmusic. The average age around here is probably somewhere rbetween 16-22. I'm not going to call you liars or anything, but rconsidering some people only joined up only 1/2/3 years ago with rmainstream album knowledge suddenly having 3000+ ratings is rquestionable.
