August Of Wind
A list of release I'm excited about in August. Shout me down furiously with what I'm missing. |
| 1 | | Jay-Z and Kanye West Watch the Throne
At the very least, this will be the single most egotistical album of the year. |
| 2 | | Trivium In Waves
Cautiously optimistic about this one. The Crusade was horrendous, but they really stepped up on Shogun. Hoping this continues the trend. |
| 3 | | Jeff Bridges Jeff Bridges
It's The Dude. |
| 4 | | 12 Stones Only Human
Since 3 Doors Down have officially given up even trying to sound credible, these guys fill the void of average yet hooky and homespun radio rock. |
| 5 | | Cymbals Eat Guitars Lenses Alien
These guys mean bidness. |
| 6 | | Breaking Benjamin Shallow Bay
Guilty pleasure band. It'll be nice to hear them with a lot of the musical fat that bogs down most of their albums trimmed off. And the bonus tracks are intriguing. |
| 7 | | The War on Drugs Slave Ambient
Been meaning to listen to more of these guys. |
| 8 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers I'm with You
Eh. Still not convinced by the single, but we'll see. |
| 9 | | Various Artists O Brother Where Art Thous Soundtrack
Deluxe, expanded re-release of an already great collection of folksy jams. |
| 10 | | Anathema Falling Deeper
More reinterpretations of old material. It might feel like a cash-in, but Hindsight was incredible enough to dispel my fears. |
| 11 | | The Whistleblower
I'd let Rachel Weisz blow my whistle anytime, if you know what I mean.
...what I mean is, I'd let her alert me to the massive, conspiratorial wrongdoings of a major international governmental agency. Also, blowjobs. |
| 12 | | Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
Loves me some Guillermo. |
