Hyperion1001 07.29.11	Wow 1 sounds pretty sweet actually, i was kind of expecting it to have a production i didnt really like but it was thick and full and awesome. The 3rd song, Crushing Hammer was badass.

TheSpirit 07.29.11	I still really like Revelations in Excrement, I have it rated a 3.5 and I have Under Wing of Asael a 4 so it's still very close. I'm excited that they are recording a new full-length.

Hawks 07.29.11	1 and 6 are awesome albums from this year. Also gotta love Portal. I'll definitely have to check out 2, 3, and 5. Also, Azarath's art won't show up because for some reason it's "Maledictions" in the database when it should just be "Malediction."

It started last year with their EP, everybody went crazy about it and I just don't get it, it's so boring :/ Anyway, I like Desolate Shrine, and I'll check out the others. Check out Mitochondrion's latest if you haven't heard it. Also, the Russian band Odem makes some great black/death.

It is traditionally a mix between the two styles. Basically, blackened death metal tends to have the death grunts mixed in with black metal playing styles. Other times, you will hear the black metal style blast beat accompanied with death grunts or the slow pounding guitar rhythms. Some bands, like Belphegor, easily fall into blackened death metal. It is sometimes described as a catch all for the bands that do not fall into one of the two parent genres specifically. " Taken from RYM because I'm lazy.

TheSpirit 07.29.11	Its actually a pretty awesome sub-genre, there is room for a lot of diversity which a lot of bands take advantage of (while some sadly don't, but whatever their loss RIGHT?)
