T.v. As I Remember It (an Omni List)

These are shows I grew up watching. They were all on Commercial Broadcast Networks and in some cases ended way before people were ready to see them go (fuck you FOX). There are a lot more than this but I ran out of time. List is recent digs
1Kyuss
Blues for the Red Sun

Wonderfalls: # of seasons 1 Price for series on Amazon $18.61 (and totally
fucking worth it)
Great quirky series that I fell in love with while it was on T.V.. I was super
pissed when it never came back and I?ve seen the only 13 existing
episodes about a dozen times and Caroline Dhavernas is totally shagable
and William Sadler is fucking boss. This show is one of many great FOX
casualties and it is one of the shows mentioned by Peter Griffith in the first
episode of Family Guy when it was brought back in 2005.
2Kyuss
Welcome To Sky Valley

M*A*S*H: # of seasons 11 Price for series on Amazon $129.98 (comes with
original movie and reunion specials as well)
There really isn?t much I feel I need to say about this one. I believe it still
holds the record for largest viewing audience for it?s finale and I?ve been
watching it for as long as I?ve been alive. The box set is the first gift my wife
ever bought me when we first started dating and I absolutely love it.
3Queens of the Stone Age
Queens of the Stone Age

Cheers: # of seasons 11 Price for series on Amazon $177.49
This show is in more dire need of a box set than any white man in history
(Good Morning Vietnam? anyone?). Another show I?ve been watching for as
long as I can remember. If memory serves the finale is in the top 5 for
largest viewing audience. Out of 270 episodes I don?t think that there is a
single bad one. With only two major cast changes I think this has one of
the most memorable and recognizable ensembles in T.V. history.
Dr. Frasier Crane: There's an old real estate maxim that says the three
most important things when looking for a property are location, location,
location.
Woody Boyd: That's just one thing.
Dr. Frasier Crane: That's the point Woody.
Woody Boyd: What, that real estate people are stupid?
Dr. Frasier Crane: No, that location is the one most important thing in real
estate.
Woody Boyd: Then why do they say that it's three things?
Dr. Frasier Crane: ................ Because real estate people are stupid.
4Queens of the Stone Age
Songs for the Deaf

Firefly: # of seasons 1 Price for series on Amazon $19.99 (and totally
fucking worth it).
This one is far more contemporary so I?m sure most of you are familiar with
it and it?s follow up movie Serenity. This show is endlessly entertaining to
me and like Wonderfalls I have watched all 14 episodes many many times.
Also like Wonderfalls I cannot fathom why FOX would cancel a show this
good before it could really get going. For me it was a perfect balance of Sci-
fi, Spaghetti western and comedy/drama.
5Eagles Of Death Metal
Peace, Love, and Death Metal

Quantum Leap: # of seasons 5 Price for series on Amazon $125 (roughly).
This is another series that never got the box set treatment so I?m guessing
the price at $25 per season. This was my first Sci-fi crush I forever man
crush on Scott Bakula and will always view Dean Stockwell as a kind father
figure. By the 5th season it was running a little long in the tooth but the
preceding 4 seasons build up enough good will to carry it through. They are
still trying to put together another successful series based on similar
concepts e.g. Journeyman (which wasn?t a bad concept at all).
6Them Crooked Vultures
Them Crooked Vultures

Dukes of Hazard: # of seasons 7 Price for series on Amazon $149.95
When I was a kid there were only two things I loved almost as much as my
parents and those were my Star Wars and Dukes of Hazard Footy pajamas.
I put on the DoH ones I became Bo Duke (I was a toe head so he was my
favorite). No piece of furniture was exempt from me attempting to slide a
crossed it in an attempt to foil Boss Hogg because as we all know it was
the sliding that saved the day. I would be remiss if I did not at least
mention Catherine Bach and her daisy dukes. *cat call
7Fu Manchu
King of the Road

The Wonder years: # of seasons 6 Price for series on Amazon no such
fucking thing, because of music licensing?
This show was just about perfect imo and again was perfectly timely for me
as I was the same age as the main character. They took it out of the three
wall studio set, paid immaculate attention to props and the music really
was outstanding. Anyone not have the hair on the nape of your neck stand
up when you hear Cocker sing ?What would you think if I sang out of
tune?? I don?t know about you but I instantly think of two additional things
when they hear his version 1) The Beatles and 2) The Wonder Years.
Character development and story arc were meticulously poured over on this
series and it showed. P.S. is there anyone who didn?t fall in love with
Winnie fucking Cooper? Go Google her Stuff magazine swimsuit pics? She?s
all grown up!
