| That Radiohead List
Cause apparently we all need to talk about how much we love
Radiohead at some point or another | | 1 | | Radiohead Kid A
The masterpiece. Disjointed and raw, Thom Yorke and group were at the
height of their paranoia here and as Thom said, " I know I'm paranoid and
neurotic, I've made a career out of it" and here he shows that in spades. | | 2 | | Radiohead Hail to the Thief
Such an underrated gem. Radiohead went for broke here experimenting
with all kinds of stuff and produced their longest album and some of their
best tracks here. When looking back on Radiohead's best songs ever, I
always find myself pulling nearly every track out of this album because
nearly all of them are truly out of this world. | | 3 | | Radiohead Ok Computer
Powerful powerful stuff, with "Fitter, Happier" taking the crown as the mos
innovative 2 min in music ever. Not as innovative as they were later but
still an incredible listen through and through. | | 4 | | Radiohead The King of Limbs
The album they made one sunny afternoon at the beach. This is the most
mature thing they've ever done, is so easy an pleasant to listen to and still
manages (with such gems as 'Lotus Flower' and 'Give up the Ghost') to add
innovation to the game | | 5 | | Radiohead Amnesiac
Everyone should listen to this. I adore the flow of the first 7 tracks on here
but it does wane a bit down the wire. The strangest thing they've ever
done still manages to give a careful listener a lot of rewards | | 6 | | Radiohead In Rainbows
Such a fantastic album but not the best they've done. They seemed to
want to make an answer to Ok Computer here and this is a small detour
between Hail to the Thief and The King of Limbs in terms of innovation. Still,
'Nude' and 'Reckoner' rank amongst the all time best Radiohead tracks. | | 7 | | Radiohead COM LAG (2plus2isfive)
I'm not actually sure this is better than The Bends, but it's certainly close
and both come nowhere near In Rainbows. A half dozen tracks on here are
some of their best b-sides. | | 8 | | Radiohead The Bends
Inconsistent and child's play compared to what they would do later on.
Still, 'Just', 'Planet Telex', 'Street Spirit' and 'Fake Plastic Trees' make this
one quite a great album | |

06.29.11 | Also enjoy The Amazing Sounds of Orgy ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5LT9X9F-YM ), one of my favorite B-sides, if you haven't done so yet. I'm gonna go watch tv and maybe pass out but hopefully I'll have some people agreeing with me and raging at me when I come back =) | Tyler.
06.29.11 | in rainbows is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than kol | wabbit
06.29.11 | "Disjointed and raw"
did you just not listen to the album at all? Cause it is the polar opposite of those two things. Like really man If I made a top 5 "adjectives that are the opposite of Kid A" those would make it. | PurpleBottle
06.29.11 | 1-6 are all like super close together (it hurt me a lil too to put in rainbows at 6), Airbag EP is overrated imo and i love the seamless flow on kol. i really enjoy each and every track on kol and find the album aging quite nicely | NigelH
06.29.11 | So apparently Pablo Honey doesn't exist. | Trebor.
06.29.11 | I'm sicking of hearing that The Bends sucks because it's not experimental enough | PurpleBottle
06.29.11 | "His new songs were incomplete, and some consisted of little more than a drum machine rhythm and lyric fragments he had drawn from a hat" -raw
and have you heard "how to disappear completely", which is in my opinion the centerpiece of the album? If you don't feel disconnected/disjointed from reality in some way after listening to that then I don't know what to say to that.
I wrote these up rather quickly and wanted to stress that Kid A was so incredibly cohesive despite being so disjointed and raw but certainly those aren't the opposite of Kid A | Uranium
06.29.11 | I like your take on Hail to the Thief | PurpleBottle
06.29.11 | I actually agree that hail to the thief is their most disjointed since the bends in the way that rabbit must've thought i meant. pablo honey pretty much doesn't exist imo and the bends doesn't suck because it's not experimental enough, it's their weakest after pablo honey because it is somewhat monotonous | luschlotz
06.29.11 | OMG FINALLY, THANKS FOR PUTTING 2 UP THERE, it is amazingly underrated, the most consistent Radiohead Album ( Kid A the exception )
We have the same first and last 2
aokunef is going to love you for that b-side post | NigelH
06.29.11 | Maybe the first disc... | Uranium
06.29.11 | Pablo Honey is definitely their worst but I honestly think "You" is my number one played RH song of all time..... | DocSportello
06.29.11 | Pablo Honey is quite enjoyable in small doses. | aok
06.29.11 | "You" is pretty good. Gotta respect the Thief but I'm not sure it has the flow to be considered better than something like ok computer...
anyways, here's a dozen of my favorite b-sides in case you haven' heard them all. big ups for posting amazing sounds of orgy ( http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=436113&listid=72378 ) | Skweetis
06.29.11 | Kid A at #1, shocker. | Pyosisified
06.29.11 | the bends is like their second best js |
