Top Songs Of 2011 So Far

Lots of stuff I haven't heard yet. One song per artist. Feels like I'm forgetting some stuff but this is what I came up with in 5 minutes.
1Manchester Orchestra
Simple Math

If this gets beat it's going to be one of the best songs of all time. The music
video is breathtaking.
2Hawkboy
Two Bit

Epic.
3Wu Lyf
Spitting Blood

The end of Heavy Pop might be the moment of the year though.
4Fleet Foxes
Helplessness Blues

Album is alright but this song...
5Red
Feed the Machine

Disappointing album minus this song.
6Death Cab For Cutie
You Are A Tourist

Riff of the year.
7Storyline
Take Me

Not really my typical thing but this song has the potential to be a MASSIVE
radio hit. It's Paramore-y. http://storyline.bandcamp.com/track/take-me
8Bon Iver
Calgary

Waiting for the release date to listen to this because I haven't really been in the
mood. But this song makes me optimistic.
9Emery
I Never Got To See The West Coast

I freaking loved this song live. They played it acoustic and it was really intimate
and stuff.
10Jeff Jacquay
World's Record Trophy

Lo-fi indie folk. http://jeffjacquay.bandcamp.com/track/worlds-record-trophy
11Kye Kye
Rooftops

Eisley but better.
12Laura Stevenson and the Cans
Master of Art

There isn't really a definitive song in my mind from this yet but it's a very solid
album.
13Glassjaw
Vanilla Poltergeist Snake

Not my normal thing but I dig it.
14Marksmen
No Sound For You

Unabashedly rips off Manchester Orchestra (I mean the singers look the same,
have the exact same voice, and they both have beards!) but still very good.
