I understand that everyone was having trouble scoring on Thomas, but the Sedins are two of the best players in the world. They should have been able to solve him. And if they didn't, Luongo is supposed to be one of the best goalies in the world. He should have at least been able to keep games 3,4, 6 and 7 closer than they were.

Honestly if you took a survey of every eli manning jersey owner after every week, and graphed ouut the approval ratings, you would get something that looks like Nitro (New Jersey six flags reference wuttt). Same with chad pennington a few years back. Same with Vinny T before that. nobody really gave a fuck about kerry collins and sanchez is too pretty, so there are a few exceptions. its really hard to make that argument about QB's tho, because QB's are generally pussies and have to shoulder a lot of responsibility (it comes with the paycheck). We have Canadian Football (woo) and just this year got an MLS franchise. In the 40 year history of the team, they have never won the cup (twice to the finals) but this year we were the clear favourite. The build up and media shit was insane. The bandwagon horseshit was insane. Im somewhat surprised there werent riots sooner. Im shocked and disgusted that this happened but when I think about it, I almost saw it coming. Most people that live here are relaxed and will just shrug off the loss but there are enough drunken idiots in the city to turn it into a nightmare, I guess. Fuck. anyway yeah, not justifying but I get that it happened. Losing the Stanley Cup is like losing a World War if you're a Canadian city. Seriously.
