Masochist
06.08.11 | List is albums with songs that are going to be in Vol. V, along with links to the first four lists.
Let me know your favorite moments in music! It might look something like this:
Artist - Song (0:00 - 0:30) ...and if you want, you write what you like about that moment here, like the bass solo.
I'll listen to all of them, and the ones I like best I'll throw in with my own choices. |
AngelofDeath

06.08.11 | Dance Gavin Dance-And I Told Them I Invented Times New Roman (3:25-4:14) God, that moment is so fucking great. The dual vocals mix so well together. Makes me warm inside.
Circa Survive-All Your Friends Are Gone (3:30-end) That build up that leads to Anthony shouting "All of you friends are gone!" Is just so fucking epic. Great album closer.
At the Drive-In: 198d (2:44-end) That slow buildup that leads to the climax with Cedric shouting, then leading to the beautiful chorus of the song gets me every time.
Converge-Heaven in Her Arms (1:12-1:53) Probably my favorite Converge song. The riff during the chorus backed up by J. Bannon's pained vocals leading to more of his harsh screams are just great.
Tyler, the Creator-Golden (2:54-4:33) The arguement Tyler has with Dr. TC leads into one of his best verses. Also My fav song by him.
Trophy Scars-Sad Stanley (Beginning-1:57) This whole song is great. A 5/5 for me, but the beginning is beautiful and it leads to that epic chorus backed by some great instrumentation.
Portugal. The Man-Mornings (Beginning-1:52) Another great song all around, but the way it starts/builds up to the chorus and then a bluesy solo is just so fucking great.

06.08.11 | Godspeed You! Black Emperor-East Hastings ( 2:17-12:20) Just epic.
Folly-Repeat, I Repeat, Repeat (1:29-2:30) Epic buildup leading to a catchy ska riff mixed with passionate screams
Folly-Broken (Beginning-1:24) A great breakdown to start the song and then it also leads to some great ska to skank
your ass off to.
Protest the Hero-C'est La Vie (1:18-1:53) Another great chorus backed by some catchy guitar.
Say Anything-Alive With the Glory of Love (2:22-end) A great buildup that slows down and is then sped up when Max
Bemis says "Ok, speed it up, GO!" The rest of the song is lyrical genius
