Top 10 Queen Songs (as of 29/05/11)

This is a list of my favourite Queen songs. Queen being my favourite band, I struggled to put this together. Oh, and I'm not going to include Bohemian Rhapsody, 'cause everyone knows that it should come first on every single top ten list ;) Honorable mentions include: Nevermore, Millionaire Waltz, Back Chat, Drowse, Tenement Funster, In the Lap of the Gods...Revisited and Love of My Life.
1Queen
March of the Black Queen

March of the Black Queen is undoubtedly one of Queen's most technical and puzzling songs. The literature used in this song is mind bending and I have no idea how Freddie thought of it. Definitely Queen's most criminally underrated song.
2Teo Torriate (Let Us Cling Together)

A beautiful song which brings both poingant and valiant emotions and memories rushing back. Brilliantly crafted and a fine tribute to Japan, for giving such major support to Queen through the thick and thin.
3Bijou

Stunning guitar work from Brian May and what little was sung in this song, was sung absolutely beautifully by ol' Freddie. Freddie was on his last legs at this point, and the emotions of a dying man are put across very well.
4You and I

A joyful song which brings back many memories for me personally. This song is a little gem and shows John Deacon's creative ability. I could sing along to this song for ages, it's one of those that never get old.
5My Melancholy Blues

If you want to see the full extent of Freddie's singing ability, then this is the song to listen to. The lyrics are beautiful and camp, and the vocal work by ol' Fred is flawless, nothing short of perfect.
6Lily of the Valley

One of those songs that you wish went on a bit longer. Running for just 1:43 minutes, this little song takes you away to a make believe, historical, fantasy world. Beautifully brings about nostalgic emotions to anyone who grew up watching Disney films and/or playing videogames.
7The Prophet's Song

Brian May truely outdone himself on this song. Written using only a strange dream he had as reference, this song gives a frightening kick to anyone who dares listen to it alone and at night. Freddie's vocals were stunning and catchy as usual. This is Brian's Bohemian Rhapsody. If 'The Prophet's Song' was released as a single, it would be massive.
8I Want To Break Free

Accompanied by a hilarious video, this song has an inspirational feel to it. 'I Want To Break Free' - these are the lyrics that every single person can relate to, regardless of nationality, class, gender or sexuality. I think being able to relate to a song makes it all the more special, and this song gives the sense that there is somebody out there who feels the same way as you do. You're not alone.
9One Year of Love

Overshadowed by the likes of 'A Kind of Magic', 'Friends will be Friends' and 'Princes of the Universe' this poignant and lovely song is a buried gem. Easy to listen to, 'One Year of Love' can calm and bring many to tears.
10Need Your Loving Tonight

My favourite song from the album 'The Game'. The chorus is catchy and leaves you wanting more. Ever heard a song where the verses are just as, if not more catchy than the chorus? Well this is one of those songs.
