SeaAnemone 05.29.11	I'm such a poser lol most of the best of today's emo bands come within a few blocks of me a few times a year but I can never find the time nor motivation : ( doesn't help that none of my real life friends like anything near emo oh well...

iarescientists 05.29.11	going to emo shows alone is kind of awkward cause they tend to be really cliquey, but if you're not socially retarded like me it might be a nice way to make new friends!

I don't really fit into that whole scene appearance-wise I just love the music so I feel like I'd stick out... what I'm going to try and do next year is start snagging interviews with more emo bands and just use that as an in / an excuse someguest: yeah but I live on one of the nicer campuses in the country with way-too-privileged white Catholic kids so it's a bit sheltered from the city in many ways... Baltimore has some charm though if you know where to find it, in- between the murder and crime
Athom 05.29.11	most of the venues i hang out at are in sketchy neighborhoods in LA. shit holes can be really fun if you take the time to find it.

iarescientists 05.29.11	all the shows around here are just house shows, which makes it awkward when you drive up and it's someones house and you're like "oh is this where the show is" and they're just like "yeah" and then you just chill until the show starts feeling awkward as shit. luckily i have friends now, or have become friends with the people who own the houses, so i don't have to deal with that anymore!
sixthgoldenticket 05.29.11	my town just lost one of its best d.i.y. venues and one of its houses, so most local shows are played on the west side, which sucks cause i can never make it out to them. the scene around here is mostly hardcore/pv/some melodic hardcore

snerefedsav 05.29.11	oh shit son that's gonna be a bomb show. i saw snowing and 1994! in the winter at this dude's basement in chicago. one of the best show's i've ever been to. and i would love to see algernon live as well. i think they're coming here to the same place on june 18 or something like that, so i'mma hit that up if i can

Iamthe Nightstars 06.14.11	The show was pretty cool. The venue was about the size of a two car garage and there were only like 25 people.

Iamthe Nightstars 09.27.11	The show was really odd for me. I'm used to going to pretty well known band concerts and the venue being big with a bar and good sound system and a bunch of people there. This show on the other hand was literally in a storage garage with no sound system except a p.a.. There wasn't even a bathroom there, you'd have to go across the street to a gas station. And there were no more than 25-30 people there besides the people in the bands. All the bands played great though. I just never been to a show like it before.
