05.18.11 | I consider myself a writer of lyrics/poems, and I've actually already experimented a lot with Cedric's writing style. I kind of interpret what he's doing as using combinations of words, whether they're grammatically correct or not, to paint a picture in the listener's head, and then leaving the listener to interpret the painting. Here's a little bit from something I wrote called "Streetlight Impediment;"
watch the pavement, for cracks in your feet

the starving cartographer wants to know
if you're gonna stay for the party, after the show
a road to run,
retinas to govern
