| Stuff Everyone Should Listen To
list of albums ive been digging lately | 1 | | Dillinger Escape Plan Ire Works
Most dillinger fans seem to ignore this album. i guess it isnt "metal" enough for some people. In all honesty, it is one of the most progressive albums ive ever heard. It perfectly captures so many different styles and displays them with precise musicianship. The flow of the album is breathtaking. elements of hardcore punk, industrial metal, prog rock, thrash, electronica, avante garde, jazz... this album just has so much depth. | 2 | | Miles Davis Bitches Brew
most people who love jazz will already have heard this of course, but for those who are new to it, its a great place to start. | 3 | | John Zorn Spy vs. Spy
Most destructive jazz music ive ever heard. Relentless, technical, and unforgiving. | 4 | | Jonny Greenwood Bodysong
massively different from his work in radiohead. an all around bizarre album. very percussive and trippy. | 5 | | Tomahawk Anonymous
Another one of Mike Patton's projects (faith no more, mr. bungle, peeping tom). Quite possibly one of the most unique albums ive hever heard. Its like math rock, the kind you would find on a Battles album, but its all Native American type music. very strange :P | |
