sniper 05.01.11	2 is really the only one on here that should be.
sniper 05.01.11	yeah i mean 5 definitely isn't commonly regarded as a classic album. 1 maybe in certain social circles but not as a whole. 2 just fuckin sucks. 3 and 4 are pretty widely acknowledged as classics and your opinion is as valid as any, but i don't think either really sucks.
Chrisjon89 05.01.11	In Australia if you're overheard saying you hate, dislike or are indifferent to AC/DC a group of men with mullets and sleeveless flannelette button up shirts pull up beside you in a ute, jump out and beat you with socks filled with frogs. I don't hate them but it all sounds the same to me. I like 5 but not to the extent of some. 4 is brilliant in my opinion but I understand why people would think otherwise.

Acanthus 05.01.11	3 is the only release I actually enjoy out of the list, I feel it deserves its status but it is a rather situational/mod oriented album.

Polymath 05.01.11	It's all a matter of opinion in the end, I actually quite despise 1 and 2, but 4 and 5 are two of my favorite albums of all time. MPP is an album I still listen to daily and have been doing so for 4 months. It's one that may or may not grow on you, took me about 6-7 listens before it did, it all depends man.

You at least need to respect #2" 2 is one of the worst pieces of shit ever. if you're talking about disputing "classic" as a title like sgt pepper's or sticky fingers or blood on the tracks are classics then i don't think you can in the cases of Kid A and Disintegration. In indie circles, ItAotS is regarded as genre-defining and pioneering, so take from that what you will. In terms of impact/relevance, Kid A and Disintegration are definitely classics, and many would argue the case for 1 as well. "but 1 and 5 are nowhere near classics, and I think most of the users on Sputnik, even the ones who like those two albums, would agree...." classics in terms of what?

Polymath 05.01.11	I think people get caught up on the whole term "classic" a 5 is merely to display an album which you find to be flawless and has almost an endless replay value. It doesn't necessarily have to be a "classic".

CounterClockwise 05.01.11	3 is sooooooooooooo good. I agree with 2,5(though I don't think 5 has earned the "classic" status) and I do think that Kid A is overrated but it shouldn't be on this list, cuz it's still very good. No opinion on Neutral Milk Hotel never really checked them out.

liledman 05.01.11	classic is a pretty loose term, especially when people can deem a new album 'a classic of our generation' or something like that. it mainly has to do with importance/influence, but there will always be people who despise classics, just because they can. maybe that has something to do with trying to be cool or different, but hating acdc makes sense because they fucking suck.

Sometimes, people on this website can mistake the word "classic" for a five scored album since the term just happens to coincide with the rating, while I like to think of a "classic album" as an album that is extremely good and has some sort of impact or respect among general music followers (normally worth a four at the least).

Polymath 05.01.11	There could be endless arguments over what a '5' or a 'classic' is but in the end, it's how YOU feel towards the album. If an album is flawless and has a brilliant replay album then it's a 5 and most albums that are like that tend to be what you 2 (liledman and dimsim) mentioned.

G3N3R1C 05.01.11	1 is a 4/5. 2 is a 1.5/5. Haven't heard 3. 4 is a 5/5, and is definitely in my top 5 favorite albums of all time. 5 is a 3.5/5.

eggsvonsatan 05.01.11	#3 and #4 I really don't hate, but I can't figure out why people think they're Classics. Disintegration has some decent tracks, but it's a pretty miserable listen over all. And while i enjoy a few bits and pieces of Kid A (as well as other Radiohead) I think its dry, pretentious, and vastly overrated. @Balderdash- I can see why you wouldn't like close to the edge, but Think as a Brick is phenomenal!
TheBalderdashMan 05.01.11	I think Thick as a Brick is the only album I've ever heard that made me feel embarrassed on behalf of the musicians. It just seems so absurdly overblown to me, though it has its moments. To each his own...
