Tumblr is a blog basically that allows you to post pretty much anything you like. 4chan memes, porn, food, fashion, art, music videos, playlist downloads, camwhore photos, whatever. Usually people will either dedicate the blog to one particular interest, and gain followers who are interested in similar media and also reblog it, allowing circles built around similar posters. A lot of them seem to think that by having tumblr and rejecting facebook, they are superior intelligent beings, simply because information gets around fast in its network, so updating people about current events or social issues becomes well known by most of those who frequent the site. tl;dr you post shit on it. It's an alright site.
