Learning Protest The Hero Songs.

So I picked up the Fortress and Scurrilous tab books written by Luke and Tim because I felt my guitar skills have somewhat plateaued over the last year, mainly from never playing other peoples songs and not challenging myself enough in my own songs. I decided to start with the Dissentience which I can play most of the riffs in but some of the licks are killing me, specifically the arpeggio section. Has anybody else tried to learn any PtH songs? Which are the best ones to start with? I want to work my way up in difficulty.
