2011 Has Been So Good
Just a list of the albums I've found enough time to listen to and enjoy lately. |
| 1 | | Eisley The Valley
Couldn't stop listening to this a while ago, The first half of the Album is amazing. |
| 2 | | Scale The Summit The Collective
The riffage is so colourful, it's just perfect. |
| 3 | | Times of Grace The Hymn of a Broken Man
The only thing I don't like is the overly idealistic lyrics, but it's totally ignorable. |
| 4 | | The Human Abstract Digital Veil
Listened to this while getting into classical music and learning the piano, it was fun. |
| 5 | | Boris New Album
Awesome, except for the tracks that probably belong in some anime. I wish I could understand the lyrics. |
| 6 | | The Strokes Angles
I hate it, but I love it. It does everything right, but it pushes my buttons somehow, I don't know. Call Me Back rules. |
| 7 | | Letlive Fake History
The new additions are gold, I could never get enough of this album when it first came out. |
| 8 | | Funeral For a Friend Welcome Home Armageddon
Always kinda liked this band, but could never get into it, but this album is excellent. |
| 9 | | Dance Gavin Dance Downtown Battle Mountain II
It's like they just cram everything they can into their albums and songs. Sometimes it hits home for me. The screamer sucks though. |
| 10 | | Decoder Decoder
The guitarist definitely has something in him. I expect it to flourish someday, I know it will. |
| 11 | | Yellowcard When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes
Great, but still missing something. |
| 12 | | The Blackout Hope
Loved the previous album, this one is nice and consistent, but nothing special. That's good enough for me. |
| 13 | | Emery We Do What We Want
They seemed to emphasize what they did wrong in 'In sinking ships we Sail...', but I'll like it anyway just cos. |
| 14 | | Rise Against Endgame
So consistent. |
| 15 | | Foo Fighters Wasting Light
Hate the foo fighters, this was a huge surprise. |
| 16 | | Daft Punk Tron Legacy: Reconfigured
I liked the original better, but some of these remixes are just so much more entertaining. |
| 17 | | The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble From The Stairwell
Awesome but it gets boring. Excellent for studying etc. |
| 18 | | Darkest Hour The Human Romance
If they ditch their vocalist and commitment to their genre, maybe they could do great things? |
| 19 | | Glassjaw Coloring Book
First album I've heard from these guys, it's not too bad. |
| 20 | | Radiohead The king of limbs
I've never liked Radiohead, but I've always expected them to be capable of making great stuff. Sadly, it didn't happen, I still don't like them. It's probably because the first album I heard from them was Amnesiac. |
