04.06.11 | @ omnipanzer my laptop is 2 years old, i only really use it for uni work and mooching on the internet. The only problem is they said they may have to replace and wipe my harddrive to fix it and stupid me doesnt own an external hard drive. So i will basically have to re rip all of my cds to my lap top, and seeing as theres just over a thousand of them it may take a while :( |

04.06.11 | Unless your drive got seriously douched which I doubt (especially if they want to reuse it) you should be able to pull the HDD and put it into an external enclosure to pull the data. Is having PC world fix your LT worth it over just replacing it? |

04.06.11 | Its easier for them to fix it as im on there pc performance insurance so it gets fixed for free and returned to me good as new, well thats whats supposed to happed anyway. I'll find out more once they've had a propper look at it. |

04.06.11 | Exactly lol its a bit of an inconvienience obviously, but it'll get sorted just need to wait. My dads got the same insurance on his and his has been fixed 3 times due to various cockups and it normaly takes a week or two and its all sorted. Just hope it doesnt take too long as ive got a uni assignment due in about 4 weeks. If not i'll have to comandere my girlfriends mac for a week to get it done. |
