04.04.11 | 4 and 5 are on the edge of...to much juuunzz for me. I got all these of RYM. |
ButcheredChildren
04.04.11 | Rose Funeral - Crucify.Kill.Rot
Carnifex - Hell Chose Me
those and ASP are the only deathcore I listen to
ASP for their amazing abilities
Rose Funeral becaus ethe drumming is incredible
Carnifex because the vocals are catchy and sing-a-long |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | ....don't rec me uno-core bro. i don't support bands that are so boring they make me play childrens card games. I hate Carnifex also. I'm gonna be really picky, sorry lol :P |
dnor
04.04.11 | FACELESS FACELESS FACELESS FACELESS FACELESS GLASS CASKET GLASS CASKET GLASS CASKET NECROPHAGIST NECROPHAGIST NECROPHAGIST. |
ButcheredChildren
04.04.11 | It's cool, I am selective as well but in my own way.
I used to be so bad with this genre but I think all metalheads go through a deathcore phase at least once in their life. |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | Meh, I collect releases from every genre. Deathcore as a whole is bleak since the idea has little potential, however that said, that doesn't mean all deathcore sucks. Generalizations are bad for good bands. |
iwubmoosik
04.04.11 | Shadow of the Colossus - Self-Titled
A Breath Before Surfacing - Death is Swallowed in Victory
Burning the Masses - Mind Control
all i can think of 0_0 |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | The Faceless and Necrophagist are...meh. I might consider Glass Casket. |

everything north of 20 is pretty decent. and how do you not like The Faceless :( they rule bro |
ButcheredChildren
04.04.11 | I don't consider the faceless as deathcore |
dnor
04.04.11 | lol why butch? |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | I don't hate them, I just never considered them deathcore. Just not really party music.. |
ButcheredChildren
04.04.11 | Their to tech death, sure there is that odd breakdown or cliche riff but the deathcore elements are nowhere as prevalent as their tech death elements |
dnor
04.04.11 | yeah, thats true I guess. But I mean, I just listen to An Autopsy off of Akeldama and that breakdown SCREAMS deathcore lol |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | That album isn't deathcore, but Fused Through Revolving Doors isn't in my library. |
ButcheredChildren
04.04.11 | I saw The Faceless with Meshuggah and Cynic in '08.
Believe me, the vast majority of the metal underground regards them as tech death. |
Emim
04.04.11 | Hester Prynne - The Goswell Divorce
Glass Casket - We Are Gathered Here Today...
Animosity - Shut it Down
Conducting from the Grave - When Legends Become Dust
Fallen Figure - Devival
The Red Chord - Fused Together in Revolving Doors
Rifles at Recess - To Whisper in Tongues
The Breathing Process - Odyssey (un)Dead
And the song Entombment of a Machine by Job for a Cowboy is a must. |
Scoot
04.04.11 | Don't really like deathcore despite everyone believing I do
Born of Osiris' new one is pretty good though
|
Emim
04.04.11 | Oh and as for "djent" (stupid fucking genre, because it's not):
Periphery - Periphery
Animals as Leaders - Animals as Leaders
Cloudkicker - Beacons |
Dev518
04.04.11 | The Faceless Glass Casket and the new Born of Osiris album because it sounds like the Faceless. |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | ahhh I was waiting for you Emim. i was waaaaaaaitting |
Scoot
04.04.11 | S/t cloudkicker is far more djienty, beacons is more progressive |
dnor
04.04.11 | Ohh, Born of Osiris's new album would be good. |
cvlts
04.04.11 | i second Animosity |
ButcheredChildren
04.04.11 | oh well if we are rec'ing djent....
Tyrant Of Death - Blood Lust |
Scoot
04.04.11 | Animosity [3] |
eternium
04.04.11 | Play whatever you want. Fuck what they like. This is a chance to show them real music. |
Shadein
04.04.11 | If you want to play deathcore at a party, you need the album The World is Ours by Upon A Burning Body. The song Intermission is literally about partying with lyrics like "Chug Chug Chug" and "We're gonna party like it's 1999." It might sound terrible on paper, but it truly is a fun deathcore album. |
dreamobile
04.04.11 | I agree with eternium. screw them, throw up some Girl Talk and have a real party |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | "Play whatever you want. Fuck what they like. This is a chance to show them real music."
....yea tried that last time. Anything death metal, and rap oriented was apparently to "gay" for them. But whatever. The stuff that has been rec'd is way better than the deathcore they like anyways. |
Emim
04.04.11 | "ahhh I was waiting for you Emim. i was waaaaaaaitting"
Eh, I'm more in the same boat as Scoot. I listen to some deathcore but hardly at all compared to all else I listen to. |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | I've seen you rec some ok deathcore before though, so I knew your stuff would be more reliable than...well then some of the shit thats been thrown around on the other deathcore lists I checked out. |
OutOfMyself
04.04.11 | I second Upon A Burning Body, basically party deathcore |
Emim
04.04.11 | Basically, the best deathcore is Glass Casket, All Shall Perish, The Red Chord, and Animosity. After the Burial is supposed to be good too, but I haven't gotten around to them.
I'd imagine crappy, generic deathcore would be best in a party setting, though. |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | After The Burial is a bit less chuggy. Glass Casket sparks my interest. |
Crysis
04.04.11 | You could always forgo the deathcore and throw on some accessible metalcore like Unearth or something that isn't nearly as ghastly. |
SCREAM!
04.04.11 | Shadow Of The Colossus is alright |
Satellite
04.04.11 | why don't you sack up play the sort of music you like? |
Satellite
04.04.11 | deathcore (metal in general actually) = antipoon anyway |
Mewcopa0
04.04.11 | I decided to just play Sunn 0))) all night until our eyes crust over with depression. |
Crysis
04.04.11 | Problem fucking solved |
RooseveltsGhost
04.04.11 | If you're looking for both djent and progressive (metal), then I suggest you take advantage of this free download and consider Cosmogenesis. http://got-djent.com/release/cosmogenesis |
