but if you look at the genres of deathcore or metalcore as a whole then yes, bands like born of osiris and the contortionist are progressive. Compared to bands like say bring me the horizon, emmure, the acacia strain, and job for a cowboy, there is obviously a difference in the amount of time-signature changes, technicallity and song strutures that make BOO and the contortionist "progressive". the term "progressive" can be applied to many different genres of music.
