aok 03.31.11	i don't know def leppard to say either way, but only u2 do i really see merit in here. weezer's new stuff is universally disliked and their old stuff was evaluated for what it was -- solid alt rock. ac/dc is powerful and energizing, while nirvana was visionary blend of sounds which essentially bridged the (perhaps unfortunate but nonetheless crucial) gap between classic rock and emo

MO 03.31.11	AC/DC is very overrated. They basically just jumped on the rock bandwagon at the right time and wrote some catchy riffs. Boring. THUNDAH!

Mike08 03.31.11	You all like Nirvana for what it was, I heard about them growing up. They were labeled as great rock/alt. I come to expect something from such consistently high accolades. Its bad to go into a band, expecting someone to be great, but it's inevitable in some cases. When I plugged in Nirvana I felt NOTHING. Mediocre at best, and so I'm wondering whats the fuss. Its cause he died honestly. The amount of hype would have been minimal if this wasn't the case. For some reason a band's greatness is cemented if they die.
omnipanzer 03.31.11	That sir is your opinion, unless you think it is fact in which case you are wrong. When Nevermind came out Nirvana knocked "New Kids on the Block" out of the #1 spot. They will always be my heroes for that alone. His suicide was sad to me... nothing more. It has no bearing on the music for me.

aok 03.31.11	iuno -- bands frequently are not up to the hype they receive (and thereby are overrated), but it's entirely subjective. Sputnik users get very angry when your opinion differs from theirs, especially when yours is the established norm, so "I have yet to see one of these end well for the listmaker" is very much in effect

Mike08 03.31.11	aneima is a 4/5 for me and im being a little generous cause there is alot of filler. Still some kick ass songs. BTW I wrote a well broken up short essay up top w/ quotations so it was pretty easy to read. Now its smashed together with ? everywhere. So does anyone know how to fix this?
