Just reached 1000 comments today. A good time to reflect back on my times in sputnik.

The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me

The band that brought me to sputnik. One day when my friend was telling me to download some music from this super awesome band called "Avenged Sevenfold" I went to download a song and got a miss titled Sic Transit Gloria.
When I found out this was not shitty A7X I began to grow a liking for Brand New and the praise around here for sputnik brought me here.
This and Deja Entendu are probably my favourite albums of all time.

If it were not for this I would have never listened to hardcore. Hardcore is very underground to the general public and if it were not for sputnik I never would have discovered it.

Sputnik showed me that Post-Hardcore consists of more than Chiodos, Pierce The Veil, and Emarosa. Post-Hardcore has grown to probably be my favorite genre all aspects of it which I wouldn't have found without sputnik.

I used to only listen to screaming music strictly because I was so fucking brutal of course. Not entirley because of sputnik but a girlfriend of mine introduced me to Indie music and made me realize it isn't shit. It just took sputnik to show me the good indie music. I have been considering 5'ing High Violet for quite some time.

Just like Jane Doe the community on sputnik is mean and ugly. However just like Jane Doe they are awesome too because their totalitarianism attitude really forces you to adopt new music taste and improve it overall.

The Listening

Before sputnik I used to be a hardcore scene kid. Sporting a different scene band shirt every day from Attack Attack! to Bring Me The Horizon and my neon clothes telling people how brutal I am. Sputnik has shown me the errors of my ways.
