but that's actually pretty cool |
DinoX
02.19.11 | Ya should be a great opportunity for your band.
Make sure you aren't good though or MTV will hate you. |
fr33convict
02.19.11 | I was joking with our other guitarist after we left about bringing good music to MTV and then I realized we suck so we'd fit in
if this actually works out. |
FearThyEvil
02.19.11 | Well still congrats man at a possibility. |
North0House
02.19.11 | Lol why was there a person from MTV at a Christian concert? |
Scoot
02.19.11 | was it christian post-hardcore? |
bungy
02.19.11 | the only way a crappy christian concert would be worth going to is if it gets you laid with multiple beautiful women or if
Jesus Christ himself makes an appearance/cameo |
ihopeuchoke
02.19.11 | Turns out that lady was just hitting on you. |
North0House
02.19.11 | She made it all up. |
fr33convict
02.19.11 | I have no clue why a person from MTV was there honestly. For whatever reason though they where. They had credentials and where up front taking pictures and video like the whole time.
@Scoot: you know what Contemporary is right? |
Scoot
02.19.11 | christian post-hardcore with classical influences |
fr33convict
02.19.11 | Exactly. |

Haha well nice, cool that you might have an in with someone in MTV for your band. |
Scoot
02.19.11 | fuckin rights was there a pit full of people waving crosses and reading from prayer books? |
fr33convict
02.19.11 | Nope but from the singer from The Newsboys talked about "worshippin' like we was in the chocolate man's church". |
North0House
02.19.11 | Lol The Newsboys are pretty cool though, I grew up on them... As well as The Cure and Enya lol. |
Scoot
02.19.11 | ah guess it wasn't meant to be
should have booked confide to play some solid christian p-h, they bring the junz |
fr33convict
02.19.11 | The Newsboys were like one of the first artists I actually took the time to listen to (I think I heard them when I was like 8 and loved them) so even if I don't like them anymore it was major nostalgia. They didn't have a long set and Kutless played all their boring worship stuff. |

They're good. Same here, they just bring back the memories, mainly road trips to CA when I was younger. That sucks. I'm pretty sure Kutless plays the same song over and over again, but with different words. |
Yotimi
02.19.11 | Newsboys' Entertaining Angels is still a great song |
fr33convict
02.19.11 | Kutless has made a career off of two songs: a hard rock one and a ballad. They have some pretty cool tracks I used to really like (Your Touch, Tonight) but I can't stand the really cliche ballad stuff. And they didn't play a single song with distortion the whole time. |
Emim
02.19.11 | I'd like to see the Newsboys now that they have Micheal Tait singing with them. |
Strider
02.19.11 | Congrats dude |
frankie
02.19.11 | WAS PILLAR PLAYING?! |
fr33convict
02.20.11 | Pillar wasn't there that I know of. I know that Red was there a lot earlier in the day but I missed them and there was at least one atrocious christian rapper and like five worship bands trying to sound exactly like Kutless there. And Michael was perfect live Emim. |
