02.16.11 | I admittedly know jack shit about the metal half of the metalcore umbrella these days, but what does
Born of Osiris qualify as? Because their new songs fucking wreck. |

02.16.11 | Yeah but they were swell at one point. |

02.16.11 | Glass Casket is probably my favorite "death core" band (though the last track on "Desperate Man's Diary" stinks). I consider The Red Chord more of a "noisecore" band in that they're coming from a Dillnger Escape Plan and grindcore angle while the Glass Casket uses actual death metal styled riffs. But, semantics aside, Red Chord is a great band too. I haven't heard that much "death core" so I will check out 3, 4 and 5. |

02.16.11 | Quality+Deathcore? Is this some new thing...? |
Hawks
02.16.11 | Ugh, The Red Chord isn't deathcore. |
Relinquished
02.16.11 | but they are in a way. even when Tyler interviewed one of the members, they agreed that by definition they were deathcore |
Hawks
02.16.11 | I'm not gonna deny the hardcore influence because it's definitely there, I just feel they're much more tech death/grindcore. |
Curse.
02.16.11 | people hate calling The Red Chord deathcore because they are actually good, but in actuality they are |

02.16.11 | I've grown to like them enough that fed through the teeth machine has been one of my gym albums |
Hawks
02.16.11 | The Price of Existence is an album I really like and I have no problem calling it deathcore. The Red Chord just doesn't fit for me. |
GhettoIndieshit
02.16.11 | @Hawks I definitely understand that. They sound more like death grind but I still consider them deathcore by definition. Speaking of the list, Clients is probably the closest to deathcore of their albums(and my least favorite) |
Hawks
02.16.11 | Yeah I can see where you're coming from. |

02.17.11 | I've heard almost nothing but good things about 5. Been meaning to check that one out.
1 is great but i'd consider that particular release more metalcore than anything else. 3 is... alright. Better than everything else i've heard from them. |
