InFiction 02.15.11	All of his work is incredible though. Each album is fantastic in its own right.

acorncheese 02.16.11	"from a basement gets a bad rap" I don't think so, personally. It's commonly on the bottom of lists, but that doesn't mean it's bad by any means. Just happens when everything you're ranking is fucking golden. Basement has some of his best songs (as do all of his albums), but it's not as impressive as a whole than his others, imo. New Moon being the exception, in my mind, as it's more of a "put it on shuffle" album.

acorncheese 02.16.11	Basement definitely has more content than RC, but RC is just so succinct and trimmed. It serves its purpose then ends. It's as Elliott wanted it to be. Basement is fantastic but there are pieces that could've been trimmed down. Imo.
InFiction 02.16.11	^ Completely agree. Also, I haven't heard new Moon but I thought it was a compilation or something and wasn't actually counted as a 'real' LP?
acorncheese 02.16.11	It is a compilation, but I see no reason to not group it with his other albums. I feel like many people don't pay attention to it since it's "only a compilation." It's actually got many of his best songs on it. All of the songs on it were recorded between '94 and '97. It's absolutely fantastic. Give it a shot.
