Aids 02.03.11	Luongo with the shutout, my boy Ryan Kesler scored goals #29 and 30 (his previous career high was 25 last year) and top prospect Cody Hodgson scored his first career NHL goal in only his second game. Life is good for Canucks fans right now. I can feel it, this is our year O_O

Twice as many Vancouver fans as Phoenix fans and it was in Phoenix. acorn, Lighting look awesome as well, but they lack the depth to go deep in the playoffs, although their new goaltender has been lights out of late, I think Vancouver will meet Philly or Pittsburgh in the finals.

Aids 02.03.11	yah I used to really really hate football and this year I've kind of come around on it a bit. like, this is the first superbowl that I've actually wanted a specific team to win.

Irving 02.03.11	LOL I'm glad you can understand my pain Aids. It's just...this is my last year in Canada (I'm an international student) and I was so hoping for the Sens to make the playoffs again. Last year's quarterfinal run (where Ottawa lost to the Pens in 6) was my first experience of playoff hockey, and it was INCREDIBLE. Sadly it'll probably end up being my one and only playoff game experience, so big sigh lol.

TomArnoldsArmpit 02.03.11	The superbowl has become somewhat diluted. The best games are usually in the playoffs leading up to the superbowl. This one, however, looks to be pretty good. I hope Harrison gets a fine based on a hit towards Rodgers, and Rodgers steps up and beats the Steelers in OT. Roethlisberger deserves to be defeated in the superbowl, and Rodgers deserves a win.

You're forgetting about Ryan Kesler who will almost certainly win the Selke (I think that's it, the defensive forward one). Plus we have speed right down to our fourth line, whereas the Lightning are only good because they have one of the best lines in the NHL (Stamkos + St. Louis = unstoppable); they lack the depth to do anything in the playoffs. Also, we have probably the most underrated defense in the league, at least in terms of talent. Dan Hamuis and Keith Ballard are the only two skaters in the league capable of delivering a hip check with as much precision as they do.

They were getting scored on 5 or 6 times in pretty much every game before the new guy came in (his name escapes me right now). the only reason they win games is because they can score goals like nobody's business
8bit 02.04.11	I agree with you on their lack of skill in goal tending throughout the first half of the season, but now that they've picked up veteran goaltender Dwayne Roloson (who carried that Oilers to the Stanley Cup Finals before being injured in like game 7 LOL) from the Islanders, they're on pace for an amazing second half. He's play some odd twelve games for them since they've picked him up, and he's won eight, four of those wins shutouts. Although I can't say Tampa Bay and Vancouver have the same depth, Tampa Bay definitely have the experience in the play-offs to carry the team to the finals, with the only competition in the East being Philadelphia. I'm expecting Tampa Bay to make some moves before the trade deadline to amp up their defense, and Vancouver will probably stay pretty quiet when it comes to the that date. These teams will make it far in the playoffs, but because of Tampa Bay's veteran > Vancouver's outings for the past 2 post-seasons, the Lightning will win if they do meet in the Stanley Cup Finals.
