| Cream Of The Crop
Some of the best in the post hardcore/emo/hardcore scene | 1 | | Sunny Day Real Estate Diary
Influential, emotional, brilliant. | 2 | | At the Drive-In In/Casino/Out
This or RoC are both flawlessly executed, genre defining, and should be looked at the by hoards of ignorant post-hardcore artists creating music nowadays | 3 | | Defeater Travels
Touching, chilling, once again brilliant, and just leaves you feeling like you just witnessed the tragic life of another human being....which you did. | 4 | | Time To Burn Is.Land
Didn't really understand it for a bit, but that's because its fucking immense, use your imagination. | 5 | | Glassjaw Worship and Tribute
I'm sure I don't have to explain but they sounds like At the Drive-In mixed with Sunny Day Real Estate. But its not fair to say that becuase the bands I mentioned and Glassjaw came into existence around the same time and ARE the influence for the rest of their genres, not bands that were influenced.
-On a side note, LetLive's Fake History is insanely good and shows alota promise. If they can grow as lyricists and write songs that are more emotionally driven they will be sure to put out a classic. The fact that they can already make their whimsical lyrics sounds emotional is promise enough | |

01.31.11 | 5/5 covers lol | couldwinarabbit
01.31.11 | no fugazi and the mention of 1.) the best and 2.) post-hardcore... | WeepingBanana
01.31.11 | stop... comparing... letlive... to... glassjaw...
glassjaw is infinitely better | Narshh
01.31.11 | glassjaw and at the drive-in are considered post hardcore, and didnt mention fugazi because this was a list with 5 items lol, like i said above, these are just some of the best. And I dont like the letlive to glassjaw comparison either, I just wanted to mention them as an example of good modern post-hardcore and coincidentally ended up putting that in the same box and Gj lol. However, letlive undeniably has influences from bands such as glassjaw |
