| Rbs 6 Nations Tracks
The RBS 6 Nations starts next week, and I can't rwait. Beer in hand, I'll watch Wales eat their rpre-tournament words at the hands of England's rDylan Hartley, Scotland to disappoint just as much ras usual but still beat Ireland, France to fizzle rout into nothing after their effort last year and rItaly to get the shit kicked out of them by reveryone. List is my predictions for the finishing rplaces for each country. | | 1 | England
Frank Turner - Long Live The Queen.
England are the Bookies' favourite for the first time in a while, and I'm
inclined to agree. If anyone can bring the win home, it's Martin Johnson's
men. Plus, Andrew Sheridan is in the scrum, and he helped the demolition
of the Southern Hemisphere scrums last autumn...huge presence. | | 2 | Wales
Lostprophets - The Fake Sound Of Progress.
These guys always put up a good fight, and it may be close, but I reckon
England'll come out on top. The first match this Friday between the two
might well be an indication of who comes out at the top of the table. | | 3 | Ireland
Glen Hansard - Falling Slowly.
Glen Hansard - Falling Slowly.
Brian O'Driscoll is getting a bit passed it now, it's about time they got some
fresh talent in to improve their form. I predict it'll be close between Ireland
and Wales. | | 4 | France
Justice vs. Simian - We Are Your Friends.
Got torn to pieces by Australia recently, so their form is unlikely to be good
enough to win the grand slam like last year. However, I guess they could
surprise us all again! And I do enjoy watching Bastareaud annihilating people... | | 5 | Scotland
Belle & Sebastian - The Boy With The Arab Strap.
Whilst Scotland might pump out some decent music, their rugby team has
recently been in poor form. A 49-3 defeat at the hands of New Zealand
might be a good indicator of what to expect in the coming weeks... | | 6 | Italy
Cannot think of an Italian song or band, feel free to rec me some!
The Italian team might pull something out of the bag, but they're not
realistically going to win the tournament. | |

01.30.11 | Seriously, fuck the lack of ability to edit these cunting lists without random r's making me sound like Kim Jong-Il in fucking Team America. | Fugue
01.30.11 | Bastareaud didn't makes France's squad this year. I'm in agreeance over your placement predictions though I think it'll be close between the top 3. | TheJackal
01.30.11 | Go England! It has been way too long,
France will probably do better than 4th imo, they normally pull something out of the bag.
''Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, Coming for to carry me home...'' | Sanders
01.30.11 | Oh, that's a bit disappointing, he's always entertaining to watch. How about Chabal, did he make the cut? Yeah, there'll be a divide between the top and bottom 3 for sure. | feav233
01.30.11 | pretty excited for it as well | Fugue
01.30.11 | Yeah Chabal is in, from what I hear Bastareaud has been hitting the pies and isn't fit enough to play. | xenocide.
01.30.11 | Awesome Italian bands: Graveworm (black metal), Lacuna Coil (gothic metal). | Sanders
01.30.11 | Ahhh, I knew Lacuna Coil, just never realised they were Italian... | Deathcar
01.30.11 | I think your predictions are pretty good, so excited about this year's 6 Nations. If England can play like we did in the Second Half against SA and NZ/the whole game against the Aussies in the Autumn internationals, we should do it.
We need to be more explosive out the blocks, and use our width more consistently, too often ecently we've only woken up after about 20 minutes. | Sanders
01.31.11 | We need to cut down on stupid penalties too, that's always cost us plenty of yardage... | Adabelle
03.15.11 | You reckon we'll get the Grand Slam? | Sanders
03.15.11 | Difficult to tell, I think now it's all about who decides to turn up on Saturday... England weren't particularly great against Scotland, and Ireland were unlucky. I'd like to see Banahan start, the guy's an animal, although he'll probably end up in the sin bin at somepoint. My predictions were slightly off, mainly due to underrating France, and writing off Italy. | Fugue
03.15.11 | England will tie up the grand slam by a 3 to 7 point victory I reckon. Ireland have looked shaky when under pressure, and if England can get off to a strong start it could be a bigger margin. | Adabelle
03.15.11 | Pretty much agree with everything you said there, solid performance all round and I reckon it'll work out though. Least we've got something to celebrate even if we don't beat the Irish though haha. | Sanders
03.15.11 | I agree, England need to fire out of the blocks this weekend. I'd like to see them thrash Ireland, but I don't think flair is the name of the game this week. But yeah, we should take the title, it'll take something special for Wales to cover that point difference against France. I feel pretty bad for Shane Williams too, looks like he'll miss his final 6-Nations match :( |
