tkxxx7: Mass Effect 1 Vs. Mass Effect 2

tkxxx7 12.25.10	So far I'm leaning towards the first, but as I mentioned, I've barely stepped into the second. The graphics are better, but I'm not sure how I feel about having to worry about ammo and the whole global cooldown thing.

qwer7yfreak 12.25.10	Gameplay is way better in ME2. The ammo is a little strange at first, but you get use to it.

ConsiderPhlebas 01.15.11	I liked the geeky rpg-ness of one, with all the technical sides of the character building, but 2 is brilliantly written. The most cinematic shit I've ever played.
Satellite 01.15.11	supposedly 3 is going to bring back the rpg-ness. the inventory was sort of a huge time-consuming clusterfuck in 1, as cool as it was to customize everything.
Faint7 01.15.11	mass effect 2 is the only single player game i put back in and replayed right after beating it the first time, so there's your answer

Satellite 01.15.11	yeah, and depending on your character class and your decisions in the first game, the experience is really different each time. it's going to be on another level in 3 because the story doesn't have to wrap itself up at generally the same place for the sake of continuity.

tkxxx7 01.15.11	Ok I beat both since making this list 1 was fun, but very short. I hated spending points in intelligence/charm. ME2 handled that much better. Thermal clips annoy the shit out of me when using sniper rifles in ME2, but aiming them is annoying in ME1. Funny, I'm making my friend Micah play ME1 right now.
tkxxx7 01.15.11	Oh, and the story in ME2 would've been much more engaging if the major plot points were presented better i.e. not through EDI's monotone A.I. voice.
