Narnia FTW |
vanderb0b
12.25.10 | Hated the last book, couldn't even get through the whole thing. 1-3 are great, though. |
Kimm
12.25.10 | Yep 2 rules. |
Kimm
12.25.10 | ...and yes, I have read the other ones. |
Strider
12.25.10 | I figured it would be your favorite Kimm. I just had a hunch. I might watch it tonight, love the movie. |
tkxxx7
12.25.10 | I really liked 5 and 7 . Have yet to watch any of the movies though (save for a small part of The Lion...) |
pizzamachine
12.25.10 | 1 is my fav. |
Strider
12.25.10 | take out Jill and that abomination, and it would be higher lol. plus the beginning with Aslan, I thought it was pretty dumb, Jill is so retarted. |
pillowswantyoursoul
12.25.10 | what is this i dont even
Prince Caspian is a terrible movie. |
wyankeif1338
12.25.10 | 6 was the worst, 2 will always be the best. |

12.25.10 | Horse and His Boy is my fave.
I also really liked the Silver Chair...Prince Caspian was the worst for me |
DanteCuomo

SpottedTrout
12.25.10 | I really hope you're trolling...

12.25.10 | "I really hope you're trolling...
but list is perfect ranking"
don't get it... |
MCGF
12.25.10 | horse and his boy IS the best narnia book.. still bummed they skipped over that one for the movies. |
Schizophrenik
12.25.10 | I never watched the movies, let alone had the patience to read the books. I always equated them with twilight for some reason. are they actually good? |
Strider
12.25.10 | have nothing to do with vampires to begin with . yes, they are classics.
as for the movies, I think they're doing it in the same order the books were published, or they're doing the ones with the pevensies and their cousin first, and after that, they'll be doing the rest
|
Schizophrenik
12.25.10 | I didn't mean exactly the same thing. just similar. like a less exploitative but equally bad fantasy series. |
Strider
12.25.10 | I've actually read the Twilights, and they're pretty good books imo. fucking exploitation, ruining a decent series.
as for Narnia, they're a definite read. get them ASAP. the movies are well done (except for the Dawn Treader though...) |
Schizophrenik
12.25.10 | thats interesting cause i don't know anyone who takes either very seriously. i'll check the movies out on netflex next time I have a chance. |
Strider
12.25.10 | yeah, except for my closest friends who have read them, or enjoyed the movies, most of the people I know just think of it as a childish series with no meaning. how people can be wrong sometimes... |
DanteCuomo
12.25.10 | How did they write more books than the movies? |
Strider
12.25.10 | "How did they write more books than the movies?"
they were books way before movies... |
gaslightanthem
12.25.10 | lol moron
umm twilight series are really awful but narnia is good/not really my thing though |
Strider
12.25.10 | I personally think that Narnia should be read in schools. |
MUNGOLOID
12.26.10 | ^my first grade teacher read 2 to us, so yeah. |
DanteCuomo
12.26.10 | yeah I TOTALLY thought that the movies inspired the books |
MUNGOLOID
12.26.10 | well that wouldn't make any sense if they did. |
DGTLPRTY
12.26.10 | Potter destroys ALL |
DanteCuomo
12.26.10 | TOTALLY |
Strider
12.26.10 | of course Potter destroys all. but Narnia is kick ass as while, just a bit less. |
Buccaneer
12.26.10 | wtf, I've just realised I've been reading the books in the wrong order. The Bookset I've got has them in chronological order (as in Magicians Nephew was the first one and Horse and his Boy was the third one).
Didn't know there was a Publication order |
Strider
12.26.10 | It goes :
2
6
1
7
3
4
5
but I think they're meant to be read in the chronological order, so it's ok |
Buccaneer
12.26.10 | Yeah, I've just discovered that.
But apparently (according to wiki) theres a generally accepted order which puts the Magician's Nephew last. I kinda agree, as reading them chronologically has lessened the impact of some of the stories. |
foreverendeared
12.26.10 | The Scholastic boxset I have from 1995 has them numbered The Magician's Nephew as 1 and The Last Battle as 7. I know of no other order. |
Strider
12.26.10 | I would suggest reading the Magician's Nephew and The Horse and His Boy after reading the rest, since they follow each other. I have the All-In-One book so I read them in the order they were put. |
