Schizophrenik 12.25.10	I never watched the movies, let alone had the patience to read the books. I always equated them with twilight for some reason. are they actually good?
Strider 12.25.10	have nothing to do with vampires to begin with . yes, they are classics. as for the movies, I think they're doing it in the same order the books were published, or they're doing the ones with the pevensies and their cousin first, and after that, they'll be doing the rest

Strider 12.25.10	I've actually read the Twilights, and they're pretty good books imo. fucking exploitation, ruining a decent series. as for Narnia, they're a definite read. get them ASAP. the movies are well done (except for the Dawn Treader though...)

Buccaneer 12.26.10	wtf, I've just realised I've been reading the books in the wrong order. The Bookset I've got has them in chronological order (as in Magicians Nephew was the first one and Horse and his Boy was the third one). Didn't know there was a Publication order
Strider 12.26.10	It goes : 2 6 1 7 3 4 5 but I think they're meant to be read in the chronological order, so it's ok
Buccaneer 12.26.10	Yeah, I've just discovered that. But apparently (according to wiki) theres a generally accepted order which puts the Magician's Nephew last. I kinda agree, as reading them chronologically has lessened the impact of some of the stories.
foreverendeared 12.26.10	The Scholastic boxset I have from 1995 has them numbered The Magician's Nephew as 1 and The Last Battle as 7. I know of no other order.
Strider 12.26.10	I would suggest reading the Magician's Nephew and The Horse and His Boy after reading the rest, since they follow each other. I have the All-In-One book so I read them in the order they were put.
