Yeah I'm at work and bored...so here you go...flame away!!! | 1 | | Converge No Heroes
This thing got such awesome reviews on this site, so i decided to get it...but i have to be honest, I'm not a fan. I think it's too crazy and noisy for me. 2/5 | 2 | | All that Remains The Fall of Ideals
Guitar Hero prompted me to give this a try, and I wasnt disapponted. Pretty solid metal band. 3.5/5 | 3 | | Dream Theater Octavarium
Always wanted to get one from these guys, but I have to say, I'm not a huge fan. Their song writing isnt very good, and the brilliance of Petrucci can only take them so far. 2/5 | 4 | | The Allman Brothers Band 20th Century Masters: The Millenium Edition
This is one of those "gotta have" albums for any music fan. Great stuff on here. An easy 4.5/5 | 5 | | Dredg Live at the Fillmore
This live CD has everything I like about Dredg on it. It really captures the energy of a live Dredg show, but it's a shame that the Symbol Song wasnt on here. When considering live CD's, this is 5/5 | 6 | | Primus They Can't All Be Zingers
Primus greatest hits!! This really helped me relive the middle and early high school days. Winona's Big Brown Beaver...enough said. 4/5 | 7 | | Mastodon Blood Mountain
I loved Leviathan, but this album is a step up from that. Imagine how cool Dream Theater would be if they could write like Mastodon could. This is a 5/5 album for me all the way. | 8 | | August Burns Red Thrill Seeker
This album surprised me. Even though everything from their record label is good, this is really good. Very heavy, very melodic, and not a bad song on here. I recommend it. 4/5 | 9 | | Alexisonfire Alexisonfire
A friend recommended this. I'll never listen to him again. I should have known with a name like that. This is very generic, fairly boring, and no one member of the band seems to shine here. Does have a few catchy parts though. 2/5 | 10 | | Coheed and Cambria Second Stage Turbine Blade
Decent stuff from one of my favorite bands. Needed this to complete the collection. Time Consumer and Delirium Trigger are kickass, but the rest of the album doesnt seem to be as consistent. 3/5 | |

02.20.07 | SSTS is better than a 3, but really, I think it's what you hear first from C&C that sets your precedent for them. | ktstein
02.20.07 | Right, and I heard In Keeping Secrets first...and that's my favorite by far. | trustxdialect
02.20.07 | I heard SSTB before Good Apollo, but Good Apollo is my favorite.
I've only heard three albums on this list (1, 9, 10), and I only agree on #9. Let No Heroes grow on you. I'm not a metal fan and even I enjoy it. But #10 is better than a 3. | francesfarmer
02.20.07 | Agree with you on Dream Theatre and Alexisonfire. | IsItLuck?
02.20.07 | I don't know what you're talking about with Coheed at all. | BlindGuy1012
02.20.07 | SSTB is probably my favorite coheed album definitely better than a 3. | ktstein
02.20.07 | Yeah maybe I just need to listen to SSTB a few more times. I'm trying to digest a lot of new and very different music. I like it a lot, but I just dont think it comes close to In Keeping Secrets. Very close to Good Apollo (and would beat it if there was no Final Cut)... | Lunarfall
02.20.07 | Dude, the DT album you got is one of their worst releases. You should've gotten Scenes From a Memory or Imges and Words. | Otisbum
02.20.07 | I bought the songs from All That Remains and Primus that were on GH2 off of iTunes. | Two-Headed Boy
02.20.07 | The AOF library just gets worse as it goes. Mastodon have some great tunes, that's C&C's best album, Converge's new album is average at best, so I agree with a bunch of stuff here. |
