| Top 25 Of 2000+10
Finally settled down on a top 25, the top ten are in order and the rest are only slightly order. | 25 | | S. Carey All We Grow
Relaxing and pretty. | 24 | | Letlive Fake History
A bit too all over the place for my liking, but still a decent post-hardcore cd, which i couldn't find alot of this year. | 23 | | Parades Foreign Tapes
Past Lives is such a great song that this had to go on my list; everything else is pretty good to. | 22 | | Alcest Ecailles De Lune
In a genre that i usually dont enjoy this cd managed to captivate me. | 21 | | How to Dress Well Love Remains
It's like Bon Iver + electronics. Thats fucking awesome | 20 | | The Knife Tomorrow, In a Year | 19 | | Destroyer Archer on the Beach
It may be short, but its still one of my favorites of the year. | 18 | | Surfer Blood Astro Coast
Super happy, chill music to drive around to. Did i mention how happy it is? | 17 | | House of Heroes Suburba
Catchy, fun summer music from a band that never disappoints. | 16 | | The Gaslight Anthem American Slang
Solid follow up to one of my favorite cds, once i got over it not being The 59 Sound I started to enjoy it alot. | 15 | | Circa Survive Blue Sky Noise
They finally made a cd that doesnt put me to sleep! | 14 | | The Felix Culpa Sever Your Roots
I don't care how much it sounds like Brand New, As Cities Burn, or MewithoutYou. Those are some of my favorite bands and i needed a dose of their brand of music this year. | 13 | | Fang Island Fang Island
JOY JOY JOY | 12 | | Dangers Messy, Isn't It?
RAGE RAGE RAGE | 11 | | The Republic of Wolves Varuna
Really atmospheric, reminds of The Devil and God, and has one of my favorite songs of the year (Oarsman). | 10 | | Deerhunter Halcyon Digest
Finally clicked for me the other day, and since then its all i have been listening to when relaxing. | 9 | | United Nations Nevermind the Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures
One of the only screamo/skramz cds that really stuck with in a year dominated by indie stuff. | 8 | | The Tallest Man on Earth The Wild Hunt
Its so damn pretty.... | 7 | | Anberlin Dark is the Way, Light is a Place
Sounded like a combination of the best parts of their last two cds, and after an amazing live performance this got a place in my top ten. | 6 | | Touche Amore/La Dispute Searching for a Pulse/The Worth of the World
One of my favorite bands (La Dispute) and another that i highly enjoy making a fast, fun and awesome split. | 5 | | Underoath Disambiguation
A band that a couple years ago i passed off at a metal festival as a "whiny screaming emo band". Now they've released one of my favorite metal albums of the year, and im still kicking myself for missing them twice. | 4 | | Foals Total Life Forever
As a fan of their debut i was not expecting this cd. It fits a perfect mood and spanish sahara is one of the best songs of the year | 3 | | Titus Andronicus The Monitor
Only got into this in the last two weeks after dismissing it when it came out, realized my mistake and fell in love. | 2 | | Motion City Soundtrack My Dinosaur Life
Plain fun music done very well. Even though its less serious than pretty much anything else on this list it was the soundtrack to my summer, giving it such a high spot on this list | 1 | | The National High Violet
Easily my favorite, really grew on me through the year. Every song is amazing, and yet another near perfect cd from my favorite band. | |

12.05.10 | A lot harder to do than last year, and much less heavy. Any thoughts? | crowing51
12.05.10 | needz moar Dillinger. | Sowing
12.05.10 | 2, 3, 7, and 11 were all high on mine as well. nice list. | Monsterpoptart
12.05.10 | Eh, it was a great cd but it grew off me really fast. They were great live though. | tkxxx7
12.05.10 | A lot that I like (Letlive., La Dispute, The Gaslight Anthem) and even more that I've been planning to try (Titus Andronicus, Circa Survive, Foal) | wyankeif1337
12.05.10 | 5 was so freaking good. And I still need to make one of these lists, but I've decided to wait, as I've been finding a lot of 2010 stuff I missed recently. | wyankeif1337
12.05.10 | Also, can someone help me? I can't find a good quality dl for 8. I don't use torrent, so could someone hook me up? | Monsterpoptart
12.05.10 | thanks all, wyan i use soulseek for my stuff, maybe try that? and anyone have anything else i should check out for this year? | marksellsuswallets
12.05.10 | Anberlin's live show was easily one of the most disappointing things I've experienced this year... | Monsterpoptart
12.05.10 | awww thats a shame, did they close with fin at yours, cause i read that they had two setlists and the one without fin was disappointing. | marksellsuswallets
12.05.10 | The only things they played pre-New Surrender were Paper Thin Hymn and Godspeed. The whole show was just full of contrived stage moves and awkward "fill in whatever city we happen to be in tonight" speeches. They closed with some boring song off their new album that I don't even remember. Plus the other two bands were god-awful. | Monsterpoptart
12.05.10 | thats a shame, we got fin, dismantle (repair), and unwinding cablecar along with those two. it was a great show, but i think it was because it was right after the singer got over being sick so they wanted to make up for it. | Strider
12.05.10 | needs more Kanye | Tyrael
12.05.10 | High Voilet is the one and only album worthy of n.1, but I would personally have added Dillinger's last effort and Kanye's newest one, but your list is pretty damn fine anyway. | therayder
12.05.10 | Awesome list, but Sufjan Stevens is crying inside | Monsterpoptart
12.05.10 | Kanye and Deftones were the only ones i was on the edge about, and now i think i should have put Kanye on here, but i dont know what to get rid of to fit him. I haven't listened to Sufjan's new cd enough to decide, but i dont think i like it as much as his older stuff. And Dillinger just didnt do it for me. |
