SeaAnemone 12.01.10	I hate myself when this unusual event happens but the huge hype around this album is actually making me like it less I think-- I used to enjoy casually listening to it, but I'm a little put off now. Don't know why... may not be the hype, oh well.

Aids 12.02.10	I don't know why everybody hate's Sputnik hype so much Eric. I mean, I'm glad for it. I saw them live last week in Victoria, BC and like 4 people knew who the hell they were. If not for the hype I'd not have heard about it and probably would have been one of those people rolling their eyes waiting for Alexisonfire to come on stage. I mean, who cares if something is hyped? That just means a lot of people think it's good, why should that make you like an album less? Unless you're actually hipster kitty disguised and Sea..... And back the fuck up people. It's all awesome. All of it rated at least a 4. Anyone who thinks the 7" doesn't deserve it's spot on this list need new ears.
thunder15 12.02.10	I've gotten a little tired of the album too, and I think it's because every song has the same emotional tone (at least to me). but yeah la dispute is good.

SeaAnemone 12.02.10	Aids: I know, which is why my gut here is irrational and sorta dumb. Maybe it's because I used to be like "wow, this is fantastic, solid 4 definitely!" and then I see a sudden influx of users going "5 5 5 5 BEST post-hardcore album EVER ANYBODY WHO DOESNT THINK SO IS WRONG" and makes me think... am I overrating this, too? But if that IS what's going on, I agree it would be silly of me and I should just be more confident in my opinions instead of weakly letting them be swayed by everyone else. But you know... human nature and stuff...

Aids 12.02.10	Yah I know Eric, the fanboyism around here can be a little offputting. For example, I like BTBAM a fair amount, but the fanboys that go around insta-fiving every album of theirs make me seem like an idiot for enjoying a good band. The La Dispute fanboys are a little annoying, I'll give you that. But I honestly think it may just be the best Post-Hardcore LP ever released. I have a huge personal connection with it, but I still think it's objectively fantastic. But whatever, to each their own. I will continue to fap fap fap as long as La Dispute exists.

Aids 12.02.10	I know redsky, it pains me so because you are, on occasion, a musical neighbour of mine. If it helps, I really didn't like them at all at first. Also, getting dumped helps. Like, the lyrics on this album are what I would write if I could write lyrics. He has this brilliant way of putting his emotions into clever vocal passages. But they aren't for everyone, that's for sure. So don't worry redsky, you're still alright by my books, I guess.

LegendofPittman 12.02.10	I like this band, but I do think they're a bit overrated on this site.
