Top 5: Bands

Here it is, my top five favorite musical groups. Its been the same for ra long time, but over the past couple months ive fallen in love with La rDispute, so they made it on here.
5Modest Mouse
The Moon & Antarctica

Modest Mouse was one of my first favorite bands and they were that band
around the time i really started getting into music with a passion. Brock's
lyrics are drug-induced tales that are as deep as they are fun to sing.
Another band who's music represents a lot of important moments in my life.
4La Dispute
Somewhere At The Bottom Of The River...

Jordan Dreyer just might be my favorite lyricist of all time. Everything this
band has released has been phenomenal and they are so good live. The
Here, Here EP's are some of the most unique pieces of music ive heard and
Somewhere At The Bottom... is the best breakup album ever.
3Radiohead
Kid A

"Radiohead are like an octopus with its tentacles reaching out into different
genres." I said that while on mushrooms listening to Kid A with my friend.
Now that i think about that statement i realize how true it is, even though it
was a very drug induced statement. Radiohead change their sound from
album to album, but unlike most artist who do that and fail Radiohead does
it with ease. Thom Yorke's haunting voice sings amazing lyrics and the
music is always interesting. Johnny Greenwood is one of, if not my favorite
guitarist. I saw them a few years ago (just like the kid a story, on
mushrooms) and it was lifechanging.
2Sigur Ros
( )

A teacher of mine in highschool got me into Sigur Ros, and i will always
thank him for that. Sigur Ros will always have a special place in my heart
and their music as moving and emotional as it gets, has marked a moment
or helped me through tough times. Jonsi's voice is unreal, backed by the
vast soundscape this band creates, listening to their music is like going to
another planet.
1Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada

BBF3 might just be my favorite song of all time. Godspeed's music has
changed my life and influemced me more than anything else bar none. The
most beautiful, dark, epic, haunting songs ever created, Godspeed You!
Black Emperor are my favorite band. I own all their albums on vinyl,
researched the shit out of the band and their music and gear ect, i have
basically an entire arm tattoo'd with godspeed stuff (the 3 flying cats and
the hammer of hope, the poem from dead flag blues and an apocalyptic
city-scape on fire above the poem which i still have to finish) i am such a
fanboy but i dont really care, they deserve it.
