Could not WAIT for this to come out (Darkness Box Set) and when it finally
came, it delivered. This is a fucking fantastic set of unreleased Boss songs - I
believe Pitchfork had a quote along the lines of "he is his own best critic", and
while true - both of these discs are well worth the release. Fantastic stuff. |

No Better Than This
Throw out everything you know about Mellencamp (good or bad) and PLEASE
give this album a listen. Truly a great piece of work - I know people who love
his old stuff as well as this and HATE his old stuff and still appreciate this. Just a
great piece of work from Mellencamp. |

Love And Theft
Got to see Dylan for the second time last week and it was exponentially better
than the first. I almost have every Dylan release (missing about 1 or 2) and he
is getting to a point beyond words for me. A music legend. Of his four newest
this would probably rank as my favorite, but it's real close with Time Out Of
Mind. This album has a little of all the tricks that Dylan has collected up his
sleeve and seriously should be considered as some of his finest work. |
