I've been here for some time now and this place has helped me rfind a ton of great music.rThere is one thing that pisses me off and that is amount of r"bandwaggoning" that goes on around here and the obnoxious ramount of elitism for the sake of well nothing...people here have rthere heads so far up their asses that well they are stuck eating rtheir excrement for the rest of their lives because they shit it out rand it goes right back in their mouths.rIn this list, I will list albums that are touted to be GEMS but in rreality are shit. Users here recommend a couple listens...one user reven recommended that another user listen to a specific album ratleast twice a month for it to grow on him.rHow about NO! Jane Doe
Really, this is the best metal core album ever? Sounds to me like he's
getting anally raped. HOWEVER, there is ONE GOOD MOMENT on the entire
album, on the titular song, when the vocalist sings "I want out!" and "Lost
in you like saturday nights

Wow this album only has one good song, Digital Bath. Rest of the album is

It's just a bunch of monkey-esque drum banging, guitar slapping and
running around the neck and screeching and screaming as if being anally

ARE UTTER SHIT, they too have only one good song, well two. Their first
good song is Space Dye Vest and their other good song is Pull Me Under
and even that is only good for around 20 seconds where they have a sick

11.28.10 | You can't put music into categories like that. There's no way to absolutely define one type of music as something that needs to grow on you and another type as something that does not. It's all relative to the listener. One album that one person likes instantaneously could be the same album that another person needs multiple listens to enjoy, or even another person that will never enjoy it no matter how many times they hear it. So to single out Converge and say they don't make music that is meant to grow on you while Opeth does is totally missing the point of music in general and neglecting the fact that everyone hears and reacts to albums differently. | JustJoe.
